There is life after Love Island, here’s the proof
5 years ago

Love Island has officially come to an end, but don’t panic, we’ve got your new 9pm entertainment sorted.
It’s been a rollercoaster few weeks, filled with drama, loyalty issues and a shed load of questionable swimwear, but Love Island has finally come to an end.
Now that you’ve got your nights back, you might be wondering to do with all this extra time? Welcome back to the best city in the world, we’ve been waiting for you! With everything from theatre shows, club nights, gin tasting and a bit of Ghetto Golf, there’s something different for every night of the week, right here on your door step.
So, dust off your dancing shoes, get ready to smash the pub quiz or grab that mic and sing your hearts out, here are 7 things you can do on a week day night in Liverpool, now that Love Island has finished…..
1 – Drop the Mic

LEAF, Bold Street
The city is awash with open mic nights so why not take a leap of faith and belt out a ballad? We love the atmosphere at Leaf, Bold Street and at The Scolar. Not feeling so brave? Why not catch a gig at The Cavern, Sound and Lock & Key, Duke Street instead and leave it to the pro’s!
2 – Speed Dating
Want your own piece of the Love Island action? Liverpool is most definitely a city packed with championship flirts so get yourself a bit of summer loving with Speed Dating. Love & Rockets, Revolution St Peters Square and Neighbourhood hold regular events.
3 – Have a Giggle
Liverpool’s comedy clubs are attracting more huge names from the national circuit and some of the most hilarious up and coming talent than ever before. Tickets are as cheap as a fiver in some places, so why not finish your tea, stick a pair of heels on and head to Hot Water Comedy Club, Laughterhouse or Comedy Central for a proper good giggle.
4 – A Scouse Sun Set

If you’re a bit strapped for cash and miss your cheap nights in with a Aldi bottle of wine and Love Island on the box, you can still fill the void without breaking the bank. Grab the dog, your guy/girl and your best shades and take a walk along the waterfront to catch a seriously impressive sunset across the Mersey. Who needs golden sand and speedo’s!?
5 – It’s All in the Hips
If you fancy getting all competitive, we’ve got a few options for you to fill the empty 9-10pm slot. Get booked in at Ghetto Golf and show the girls how you handle a club! Or how about heading to Roxy Ball Room to kick ass at pool, or grab a late night slice at Crazy Pedro’s a slay at beer pong. Don’t forget, winner stays on!
6 – Raise a Glass to Summer
Raise a glass to 8 weeks of being a weekday hermit with cocktail out on the town. From Liverpool Gin concoctions at NYL Restaurant & Bar to Gin slushies at Baltic Market and all the rum at Revolucion De Cuba, we’re back on it people, and summer in the city never tasted so good!
7 – Sharing is Caring
Now, it’s super important to make sure you take care of your mates suffering from Love Island withdrawl so why not go for a late dinner and gossip about your ex, family, that fit postman with a tasty sharing board or small plates menu? Our favourite nibbly bits come from Lunyalita at the Albert Dock, Milo Lounge tapas on Lark Lane and The Club House at Liverpool ONE.
