East River is inspired by Jewish delis and cool cocktail bars on the East side of New York. And owner Josh Roberts has fond memories of spending his childhood Sundays tucking into bagel platters alongside his family – hence the vast brunch offering.
Highlights of the new evening menu include soy glazed beef skewers, crispy prawns with tomato salsa and lemon aioli and stuffed sweet potato skins with tomato and basil salsa and avocado.
When it comes to salads and bowls, the smoked salmon nori bowl and vegan Buddha bowl is a favourite, along with the traditional chicken and Matzo ramen with soft boiled egg and root vegetables.
Healthy, yet filling salads such as Spicy Beef salad with seared beef and soy vinaigrette, and the B.L.A.C salad made up of bacon, lettuce, avocado and crispy chicken.
East River has also introduced its delicious selection of street food buns that includes the Po Boy – panko prawns, spring onion salsa and Thousand Island, Reuben Stack that is packed with 6oz beef burger, homemade salt beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and Thousand Island and the Korean Tofu Bun that’s made up of crispy spiced tofu, Gochujang glaze, slaw, wasabi mayo and sesame.
Commenting on the new menu, owner Josh Roberts, said: “Our brunch menu has really made a statement and we’re proud to have regulars who keep returning because the food is so good. We wanted the evening menu to match up so we’ve carefully selected a wide range of dishes to appeal to all.

“Our food is interesting and vibrant, but most of all, it’s really tasty and everything is made with quality ingredients. We even make our salt beef in house!”
