There’s a Valentine’s Day Candlelight Concert with music from your favourite romantic films coming to Liverpool Cathedral

Need some plans for Valentine’s Day in Liverpool? We’ve found something that would be the perfect treat for your other half.

Fever’s Candlelight concert series is bringing a Valentine’s Day special at Liverpool Cathedral. The iconic building will be illuminated by thousands of candles, inviting viewers to fully immerse themselves in themed musical programs featuring tracks from romantic moments in a range of well-loved films.

You can enjoy soundtracks from the likes of Titanic, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Romeo & Juliet and songs including A Whole New World – Aladdin, All You Need is Love – The Beatles, Can You Feel the Love Tonight – The Lion King, City of Stars – La La Land, as well as other romantic melodies. Played by a local string quartet, the show invites guests to share an intimate and unforgettable moment and express the love through music.

Candlelight Concerts are a series of original music concerts created by Fever aimed at democratizing the access to classical music. This innovative format represents a unique live musical experience through a varied offer of programs to meet all tastes, played by local musicians, in emblematic venues, with the space and performers illuminated by thousands of candles.

Candlelight was initially conceived as a classical music series with concerts featuring works from the greatest composers, such as Vivaldi, Mozart, and Chopin. Now, the ever-growing list of programs includes a wide variety of themes and genres, including tributes to contemporary artists like Queen, ABBA, Coldplay, and Ed Sheeran, as well as shows dedicated to anime, movie soundtracks and many more. This multi-sensory experience has also evolved to feature different elements, such as ballet dancers or aerial performers, as well as other genres, such as jazz, soul, opera, flamenco and more.

This live, multi-sensory musical experience promises an unforgettable evening on Friday 16 February 2024 at Liverpool Cathedral.
