Clatterbridge Cancer Charity’s Walk Against Cancer is happening this weekend & you can get involved

With this weekend set to be a scorcher, The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity want you to slap on the Factor 50 and join them at Crosby Beach to Walk Against Cancer.

Walkers can enjoy the sunshine as they take on a three, five or ten-mile route along the beach, the promenade and beyond.

It’s a perfect way to spend time with family & friends, celebrate a life or remember loved ones and an event everyone can be a part of.

Now in its eighth year, the walk sees the return of the ever popular Pooch Parade, where you can show off your four legged friends and scoop titles such as ‘Clatterbridge Mascot’, ‘Ultimate Cutie’ & ‘Best in Show’.

The family friendly event also features food and music while raising money for The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity.

Clatterbridge Event Manager Mark Parkinson said:

“We’ve put so much effort into making sure this year’s event can go ahead safely and we can’t wait to see a sea of happy faces raising cash for local people with cancer, once more.

Every penny we raise will fund life-saving research, allow us to invest in leading technology, enhance the hospital environment and enable innovations in care that make a real difference to the lives of those who need it.”

Registration opens at Crosby Coastal Park (L22 1RR) on Sunday 18 July at 9am and costs from £3 per person (under 3’s go free!).
