Liverpool has an undisputed long and storied history with trainer culture. Therefore it is obvious that the city would play host to one of the most exciting trainer festivals in Europe, Laces Out!, which presents its autumn-winter edition on Saturday 19th November at Camp and Furnace in the Baltic Triangle.
Laces Out! Festival in Liverpool, England is one of the UKās best and biggest celebrations of Hip-Hop Music and Culture. The one day festival brings together new key elements of Hip-Hop Culture – focusing specifically on Sneaker Culture, Music and Performance. This combination makes Laces Out! the only major event of its kind in the North of England, a place renowned for its love, appreciation and historic relationship with music and trainer culture.
The one-day festival enjoyed unprecedented success for its spring edition in March, where highlights included an eclectic display and sale of new, rare and vintage trainers, an exclusive In-Conversation between International Trainer and Hip-Hop expert, Bobbito Garcia and BBC 1Xtraās DJ Semtex, performances by Hip-Hop Stalwarts Rodney P and Skitz and the premiere screening of the uncut Adidas Spezial documentary. Enthusiasts travelled from across the nation to attend in record numbers.
For Novemberās edition – dubbed Laces Out! AW16 – the one day festival will boast an upgraded marketplace, with a wider variety of trainers, apparel and accessories for men, women and children. In addition, peripheral activity includes an exclusive Q&A with author and leading trainer expert Neal Heard and a panel looking at UK Trainer Culture past, present and future featuring Oi Polloiās Nigel Lawson, Lost Artās Dave Mackey, CrepJunkieās Nathaniel Thomas among others. Also expect free trainer cleaning provided by industry leader Jason Markk, an exclusive trainer themed art exhibition featuring works by leading artists such as Brian Cannon, Josh Parkin and Steph Morris as well as sets by leading DJs from across the region including No Fakinā, Suedebrown, DJ 2Kind and more.
For after hours, Ellesee present a free after-party at The Merchant on Slater Street.
