This HUGE Wine Box will be unveiled in Liverpool for the return of the Clipper Race
5 years ago

The Clipper Race will be saying a big cheers to Liverpool when the Race Village opens at 10:00 tomorrow morning, Thursday 26 July, with help of wine partner, Stormhoek.
The four-day Clipper Race Finish extravaganza gets underway in the morning and will see Royal Albert Dock Liverpool transform into a race village full of activities and exhibits which will remain open until Sunday evening.
Clipper Race wine partner, Stormhoek, certainly knows a thing or two when it comes to celebrations and with Clipper Race crews on the cusp of completing a circumnavigation of the planet, it has come up with a fittingly daring way to serve a huge 24,000l of its wine.
The 24,000l wine box is printed with beautiful stripes and a figure of the Stormhoek sailor, and has been constructed with state of the art bag-in-box technology allowing consumers to enjoy wine from Stormhoek for up to four weeks after opening.
Since leaving Liverpool almost a year ago, the eleven Clipper 2017-18 Round the World Yacht Race teams have battled each other in twelve races, experiencing everything from frustrating wind holes to ‘phenomenal sea states’, boat speeds up to 35 knots (equivalent to 40 mph), extreme heat and freezing conditions.
But their epic endurance challenge is almost over as the thirteenth and final stage in this unique global adventure has departed from Derry-Londonderry, destination Liverpool, where the race will end this Saturday, 28 July at Royal Albert Dock Liverpool.
