This is what’s on at Feast of Fire for Easter weekend

The hottest event this Easter, Feast of Fire has been the talk of the town after three incredible evenings of fire, animation and music in St John’s Gardens… and there’s more to come this Easter weekend!

We have 7 tickets to give away with a drink each, any night of your choice for this weekend’s fiery celebrations. Simply SHARE on Facebook or RT on Twitter, replying with your favourite fiery song title. Winner chosen 12pm Friday 30th March.

As well as the early sessions from 7pm-8.30pm, cultural organisations from across the city – Kazimer Productions, Africa Oyé, Liverpool Pride and Milapfest –  join the party for the final four late night sessions from 8.30-10.30pm, each evening.

John Wassell, co-founder and creative producer for Walk the Plank, said:

“We have been blown away by the magical mix of fire, music and dance at St John’s Gardens last weekend and we can’t wait to introduce four more nights over Easter, with each one unique and incredible in its own way.

“From the funk of The Kazimier, the African rhythm of Africa Oyé, the magic of Liverpool Pride and the colour of Milapfest, the cultural organisations involved in this weekend’s lates will ensure that this Easter will be remembered for a very long time to come.

“Our Feast of Fire early sessions will also promise more fire and fun with fiery performers weaving their way through visitors and the magically transformed fiery gardens.”

Friday sees Kazimier Productions transform the iconic city gardens into The Kazimier Fire Garden, with everything from electrified terracotta soldiers, synthesizing wizards and funky tunes set to keep revellers entertained from start to finish.

African Heat will raise temperatures on Easter Saturday, with Africa Oyé bringing a sneak peak of this summer’s annual festival at Sefton Park, and energetic music and dance from traditional Congolese band, Kasai Masai, Beaten Track’s DJ Richie Vegas, and Liverpool’s own dance troop, Movema.

Liverpool Pride take centre stage on Easter Saturday, with Liverpool Pride on Fire showcasing incredible visuals and the ‘hottest’ property in the queer music scene, Queen Zee and the Sasstones on the main stage, as well as soul-sister Jennifer John and local favourites Dollman Disco and Sonic Yootha.

Bringing the celebrations to a close on Easter Monday, Agni – The Fire of India, hosted by Milapfest, will literally set St John’s Gardens alight with colour, bhangra music and dynamic dance guaranteed. With support from the Liverpool Mental Health Consortium, Milapfest will be bringing a mix of incredible acts for the evening, with Jasdeep Singh Degun, Bombay Baja and Nachda Sansaar all on the bill.
