This Liverpool pub is officially among the best places to get a Guinness in the UK

Pogue Mahone is celebrating in Liverpool after being bestowed with a very special award.

Located on Seel Street, Pogue Mahone, which is known as one of the city’s finest drinking establishments, has been chosen by Guinness for inclusion in their inaugural The Guinness Harp Guide 2026.

The guide features 35 of the very best Guinness outlets across Great Britain, chosen through social listening, the passionate Guinness community and the exceptional service Pogue Mahone’s provides day in, day out. The team offer an array of craft and independent beers, have live music 7 days per week, show all the main football and sporting events and offer delicious pizza too, on top of serving endless barrels of the very best black stuff, always poured to perfection.

It’s a fantastic accolade for everyone at the venue and DGB Hospitality who own Pogue Mahone. As part of winning, two representatives will go down from Liverpool to The Guinness Harp Guide Conference in January 2026 at Open Gate Brewery in London for brewery tours, unique talks and training sessions with industry leaders, including Meta and Google.
