Who said Halloween fun was just for kids? There’s comedy, live music and zombie life drawing on offer this week. Who’s in?

Halloween is the theme of this week in Liverpool. From mad fancy dress parties to drumming skeleton parades, freaky film nights and there’s an actual zombie ‘life’ drawing session at The Shipping Forecast on Sunday! Away from all things spine-chilling, you can lace up to complete the Scouse 5k 2018, step back to the 80’s at the Echo Arena and watch the Great British Bake Off Semi’s with other cake nerds on Smithdown!

Monday 22nd October

Monday Bazaar Quiz, Grand Central

It does what it says on the flyer! Monday night is quiz night at Grand Central Food Bazaar from 7pm. Have a late dinner with 10%m off food and drink and take home the star prize! More info here. 

Made in the Epstein! Private Parts Live

Made in Chelsea stars Jamie Laing and Francis Boulle will swap the streets of Chelsea for the stage at the Epstein Theatre this Monday night. The show is inspired by the duos popular Private Parts podcast which sees them bare all and read out their diaries each week. Some tickets left, here. 

Mood Boosting Monday

Fancy a little Monday pick me up? Head to Revolution Cavern Quarter and tuck into 241 main dishes, burgers, butties and salads (seriously, who is eating salad in October?!) all day, every Monday. Menu’s and more here.

Tuesday 23rd October

Liverpool Mountain Unveiled

If you’re down at Royal Albert Dock on Tuesday you can get a first look at Liverpool Mountain. The structure, created by artist Uni Rondinone, stands at 10m high and will be positioned in Mermaid Courtyard. Unveiling begins at 12. More here. 

Nightmare on Slater Street, The Shipping Forecast

There’s three nights of terror in The Shipping Forecast basement coming up this week. Take your seats at your final destination (or bring your own bean bag) for Shaun of the Dead, Halloween and The Blair Witch Project. £3 tickets from Skiddle here. 

Bake Off Semi Final at Bean There Coffee Shop

It’s GBBO Semi Final time and there’s no place for soggy bottoms at Bean There Coffee Shop. Order your own fabulous afternoon tea in advance and chat all things cake with like-minded fans from 7:30pm. Info here.

Wednesday 24th October

Rock of Ages, Liverpool Empire Theatre

If you’re into your classic rock tunes, you simply cannot miss Rock of Ages UK Tour at the Liverpool Empire this week. Bring you best singing voice and belt out hits such as The Final Countdown, Here I Go Again and more. Tickets here. 

Soul Jam: The Higher Ground Tour at Constellations

If funk, soul and disco is your jam, head to Constellations on Wednesday night for the next instalment of Soul Jam: The Higher Ground Tour. Freshers went mad for the last two dates so this is defo going to sell out. Get yours here. 

The Head Hunters Live, Hannah’s Bar

You’re invited to shake what yo momma gave you as The Head Hunters kick off their mid-week gig at Hannah’s Bar, packed with the best of the blues. Expect Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Howlin’Wolf, Mississippi Fred McDowel, Tampa Red and more. Info here. 

Thursday 25th October

An’ All That Presents All Hallows’ Disco-Tech, The Merchant

There’s free entry at The Merchant on Thursday night with a stellar line up of local DJ’s including Joseph Kaye (An’ All That), Nina Franklin (Melodic Distraction), Jimmy Allen (Four To The Floor) and Elliot Ferguson. Get spooky from 8pm. Info here. 

Ready Steady Movie Night Pod Cast, Parr Street

Parr Street Studios is hosting a movie night with a difference this Thursday as film-mad podcast, Ready Steady Remake goes live for the first time ever. You can take part in the movie buff quiz, loads of audience participation and Halloween on the big screen. Tickets here. 

Shania’s Shake Down, G Bar Thursdays

G Bar HQ has decided to merge Shania’s Shake Down to a Thursday Night in the Church Room, alongside Flueroscent Adolescent, as opposed to its usual Wednesday Night slot. Still free entry and spirits and mixers at £2.50! Boss. Info here. 

Friday 26th October

Cream Classical, The Birthday, Liverpool Cathedral

It’s back! Cream Classical returns to the stunning Liverpool Cathedral for two nights this weekend to celebrate, The Birthday. Friday is already a sell out so if you want to hear some of the most iconic club tunes like never before, click here and hope you get lucky! 

Mungo’s HiFi Halloween Carnival, Camp & Furnace

Fiesta Bombarda and WAH have joined forces to put on one hell of a Halloween gig at Camp & Furnace this Friday night. Get your fancy dress on and head to the haunted crypt with gut-wrenching Reggae, Dub, Jungle and carnival sounds. Expect ghoulish guest DJs, frightening facepaints and deathly décor. Info here.

Halloween Cinema, Beetlejuice, CIRCO

1988 American comedy horror fantasy film and Halloween fave, Beetlejuice gets a big screen airing at CIRCO on Friday night. This is more than just a movie night. Expect live performers, audience participation and don’t forget your fancy dress! Tickets here. 

Saturday 27th October

St George’s Hall Chamber of Horrors

Prepare to go on a chilling journey in to the dark depths of St George’s Hall when LoveHistory returns from Saturday 27th until 31st October with the spine-tingling, fright-night spectacular – Chamber of Horrors: Gallows Eve! All the info on this seriously scary experience, here. 

Night of the Dead Halloween Party, The Workshop

Crosby eatery, The Workshop is putting on a Night of the Dead party on Saturday night. Get your New Orleans fancy dress sorted and bust some moves to the lates and greats including Prince, Amy and more. Details here. 

Night of the Living Queers, District

Expect the weird and wonderful as Beers for Queers takes over District in the Baltic Triangle for a night of ghoulish games, theatrical interventions, spine chilling VJ sets & much more. You’re invited to dress to distress an get down, right down from 7pm. Info here. 

Sunday 28th October

Stepback 80’s Concert, Echo Arena

Tony Hadley, Bonnie Tyler, ABC, Paul Young, T’Pau, and Katrina from Katrina & the Waves will rock the Echo Arena like it’s 1987 on Sunday night as the Stepback 80’s Concert takes us back to electro pop, questionable fashion, mullet-tastic era. Tickets here. 

Arriva Scouse 5k, Liverpool City Centre

Want to get your hands on one of these little beauties? The Scouse 5k kicks off from the Bombed Out Church on Sunday morning and there’s still time to don your massive Barry wig and hit the city pavements for a boss local charity. Find out more and register here. 

Zombie Life Drawing, The Shipping Forecast

Get your culture fix with a big old dose of Halloween fun this week as The Drawing Dead presents Zombie Life Drawing at The Shipping Forecast. We think this looks absolutely hilarious and will be sharpening our pencils in preparation! Tickets and info here.

P!NK at Anfield 2019

There’s a whole host of musical talent coming to the city in 2019 and we’re setting all the alarms for 10am Tuesday 23rd October when P!NK tickets officially go on sale. She’s playing Anfield on 25th June, the same month that Take That play the same venue and there’s no way we’re missing her Beautiful Trauma World Tour. More info here.
