February gets into full swing with Chinese New Year, birthday bashes and loads of amazing food this week in Liverpool.

Happy Chinese New Year Liverpool! We’ve got every intention of celebrating the Year of the Pig with so many tasty food offerings this week. It’s also World Nutella Day (is that really a thing?), Roxy Ballroom turns 3, Flanagan’s Apple makes a welcome return, there’s music from White Lies, Dog Socials, Friends Quizzes and club nights too.

Monday 4th February

Monday Breakfast Boost, Muster Custom Coffee

Get yourself along to Muster Custom Coffee on Argyle Street (just across from John Lewis) and start your week with a big plate of fresh bacon, fluffy pancakes and plenty of syrup, or something healthy! You wont regret it! Menus and more here.

The One With The Friends Quiz, Ma Boyle’s Alehouse

It’s the Year of the Pig and the Chinese New Year celebrations begin at 7pm at the Chinese Arch on Friday. Make sure you’re in a good spot for the first showing of the light projection and pyrotechnic show ‘ The Quest for the Arch’.

Year of the Pig, The Bombed Out Church Market

The Bombed Out Church hosts a Chinese New Year Market this weekend. There’s stalls from local producers and traders plus storytelling and crafts inside from 12pm. More here.

Wirral Food & Arts Market

There’s also plenty of stalls to browse on the other side of the Mersey as the Wirral Food and Arts Market opens its doors from 11am on Saturday. Head to Hope Church, Hoylake for a wander and buy all the mini cheesecake! Info here.

Chinese New Year 2019 Celebrations, China Town
