This year, The Wheelbarrow invites you to kick off the festive season with an unforgettable afternoon of Brass, Bubbles, and Baubles.
On Saturday 14 December, The Wheelbarrow near Greenbank Sports Academy transforms into a winter wonderland, complete with twinkling lights, garlands, and a stunning Christmas tree, offering the perfect backdrop for a cozy Afternoon.
The afternoon promises a mix of nostalgia and merriment, as the talented Allerton Brass Band performs timeless festive classics.
Whether you’re reminiscing about Christmas past or creating new memories with loved ones, this event is designed to bring holiday cheer to all ages.
While the brass band sets the festive tone, guests will be treated to a specially prepared Festive Afternoon Tea, filled with seasonal favourites:
Savoury delights:
- Roast turkey with pork & leek stuffing, and cranberry.
- Snowdonia cheddar cheese with Yorkshire ham and mustard mayonnaise.
- Smoked salmon with cream cheese and dill.
Sweet treats:
- A variety of Christmas-themed cakes.
- Traditional sultana scones with clotted cream and jam.
- Handmade chocolates.
Compliment your feast with a glass of fizz on arrival and a pot of freshly brewed loose-leaf English breakfast tea for the ultimate festive indulgence.
With sittings available at 1pm or 3.30pm and bookings can be made for meat or vegetarian options only. Dietary alternatives are not available for this event.
