Internationally acclaimed John Lennon performer Tyson Kelly has announced a trio of Imagine Lennon performances, marking what would be Lennon’s 80th birthday.
Imagine Lennon will come to Bury St Edmunds and Manchester, before calling at the Tung Auditorium in Liverpool’s Yoko Ono Lennon Centre on the date of Lennon’s birthday – 9th October.
Renowned for his portrayal of John Lennon in ‘Let It Be’ on Broadway and performing as Lennon with the celebrated Beatles Tribute act ‘The Bootleg Beatles’ for seven years, Kelly’s uncanny look and sound-a-like embodies Lennon’s voice, presence and artistry with remarkable authenticity.
In Imagine Lennon, Kelly is backed by a five-piece powerhouse band as he takes audiences on a journey through the brilliant music of Lennon, performing hits from Lennon’s catalogue and a carefully selected collection of B side favourites fans will love to hear.
A gifted musician with a longstanding background in drama and musical theatre, Kelly’s performance is deeply personal, shaped by a lifelong passion for The Beatles and a deep connection to Lennon and his songwriting.
