Under a ceiling of balloons and stars, this one-of-a-kind meal will be created by the Soul Fillers, a group from charity MOWLL (Moving on With Life & Learning) in collaboration with the award-winning Toxteth chef Sky Glover at Happy Go Cooking.
Soul Fillers provide opportunities for people with learning disabilities and mental health concerns to work in the catering industry, creating knock-out food for events such as this one.
With the option of a three-course Christmas meal for table bookings or a private party buffet, it’s the perfect affordable option for your festive night out with prices between £15 and £35 per person. Individual and small group bookings are encouraged from students, freelancers and those who might not attend a traditional Christmas party.
The menus include delights like Mackerel Pate with Spinach and Beetroot Costini, Classic Roast Turkey and a Christmas Nut Roast with a Ginger and Rhubarb Crumble with Cinnamon Poached Pear and Chantilly Cream to finish.
Gordon Millar, Unity Theatre CEO and Artistic Director, said: “We’re excited to be working with Happy Go Cooking to provide this truly different Christmas dining experience. They are a remarkable organisation making a genuine difference in our community that chime with our ethos of supporting and advocating for ethical businesses locally.”
The pop-up restaurant is open between the 3rd – 24th December for private hires and on Wed 11, Sat 14, Wed 18, Fri 20 Dec for group and individual bookings.
