Unleash the spirit of summer with the Malibu Games 2019
5 years ago
The Malibu Games comes to the UK this August with a series of challenges, designed to put both the mind and body to the test.
Competitors will race through a series of Malibu-inspired challenges, testing the limits of their skills and teamwork, in a bid to reach the winner’s podium.
For five days of summer fun, Liverpool’s Great Baltic Warehouse will be transformed into a tropical island paradise, featuring three unique gaming zones inspired by Malibu favourites including Malibu Original Coconut, Malibu Passion Fruit and its newest addition, Malibu Strawberry Spritz.
Contestants will have their balance, speed and tenacity tested, as they battle with tropical-themed games in order to gain the most points. These include the ‘Not So Coconut Shy, where gamers must scramble to collect as many coconuts as possible, and the exhilarating ‘Strawberry Sprint’, where contestants must leap across fruity podiums, whilst dodging giant swinging strawberries, avoiding the ball pit below.

In the final dash for top spot, teams need to work together in the ‘Passionfruit Prism’ by collecting purple tokens in a race against the clock to guarantee their place on the leaderboard.
After battling it out at the games, teams will be able to unwind in the Malibu Beach Bar where they can sample each of the Malibu serves which inspired the games. With live DJ sets and a host of Instagrammable backdrops to capture the perfect summer selfie, the Malibu Beach Bar will be the hottest party this summer. For those who don’t fancy competing, they can still pop into the bar any time without booking and watch all the action from the viewing gallery.
After watching UK Malibu Games Ambassadors Gabby Allen, Olivia Buckland, Sam Thompson and Ian Harper put their skills to the test in the Dominican Republic earlier this summer, this is the perfect chance for Malibu fans to get involved themselves.
The Malibu Games experience will be on from the 7th-11th August and will be 45 minutes long with slots running every 15 minutes from 5pm to 9pm during the week and 1pm – 9pm over the weekend.
The bar will be open 5pm – 10pm on Wednesday 7th – Friday 9th August, 12pm – 10pm Saturday 10th August and 12pm – 9pm on Sunday 11th August.
