Caldy Rugby Club, based in Wirral, will host an Armed Forces Day rugby match in aid of leading military charity, Walking With The Wounded (WWTW).
This marks the first Armed Forces Day event hosted by Caldy RFC. Fixtures will include Champ Rugby: Caldy v Hartpury, and Division 3 West: Caldy 3s v Crosby St Mary’s.
Alongside the matches, attendees can enjoy a range of activities, including laser clay pigeon shooting, a flight simulator game, face painting and much more!
Speaking about the upcoming match, MacKenzie Allen, Commercial Manager, said:
“For our inaugural Armed Forces Day, it was important to support a charity that truly reflects the dedication and sacrifice of those who serve and have served. Walking With The Wounded stood out for the meaningful impact they make.
We’re proud to support such a fantastic organisation, bringing our community together to raise funds for an important cause alongside raising vital funds for the club. It promises to be a special match day at Caldy RFC.”
David Beer, WWTW Regional Manager, said:
“We’re grateful to Caldy Rugby Club for supporting Walking With The Wounded and those who have served. Caldy RFC has organised a jam-packed event this weekend, and we hope everyone enjoys the match and gets involved in the brilliant activities they’ve lined up.”
