The team behind the magical play space The Storybarn, in the heart of Calderstones Park invite families to explore the children’s book A Message for Santa, written by Hiawyn Oram and illustrated by Tony Ross (The Little Princess, Horrid Henry and many more).

Running every Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 25 November – 23 December with time slots beginning at 10am, the self-led trail lasts approximately 90minutes and offers activities inspired by the book for children to complete throughout the park. A family ticket costs £12.99 and includes a map and pencil for each child, and a copy of A Message for Santa for each family to take home and keep.

The book tells the story of Emily who loves all things Christmas except Santa! While Emily wants to block up the chimney to stop Santa getting in, her mum inspires her to write Santa a note, telling him to come in through the back door, and go no further than the kitchen table!
