Gavin Bryars' 80th Birthday Celebration

Serbian piano ensemble, Ensemble for Different New Music, will be performing the Yorkshireman’s compositions — with a guest performance from Bryars himself — in what promises to be a beautiful evening of music.

The special occasion will be the first time the acclaimed Serbian outfit will have performed in the UK and the event will serve as a unique portrait of one the most important composers of our time.

Carefully curated as a celebratory concert, the programme highlights the performers’ favourite pieces; a selection of compositions written across a span of over 40 years dating back to the 1970s. The show aims to put the spotlight on the incredible versatility and enduring quality of Bryars’ piano works, whilst there will also be a Q&A with Bryars at the end of the concert.
