The inaugural Thoughts and Sounds event will include the works of four poets from Liverpool’s spoken word scene, accompanied by experimental live jazz throughout. Poets appearing will be Wordy Lirpa, Saint Vespaluus, Cullo, Claire Beerjeraz, with music from Pablo Sonnaillon & Alex McDowall & Spoken Words.

Alex McDowall and Pablo Sonnaillon, also known as Bric-a-brac, play jazz standards in a style characterised by its fluid and whimsical changes of character – an avant-garde exploration within the jazz tradition with inspiration from musicians such as Jim Hall and Charlie Haden.
