It’s the annual chance to get all mushy and show your partner what a big softy you really are – and this year Valentine’s isn’t just a day, it’s a weekend!
Because it falls on a Monday, lots of places are extending the celebration so if you play your cards right you could get three nights out.
If you fancy a meal out with your other half, here are 14 Valentine’s menus to book in Liverpool …
Heritage Restaurant & Bar
Heritage on Castle Street has gone one better than the weekend and made it a full week! From February 9, it’s got a Valentine’s Wine & Dine menu for £69 which includes 3 courses for two and a bottle of house wine or prosecco, plus on Feb 14 you’ll get Cherry Lane as drag hostess.

Barnacle
Newbies to upstairs at Duke Street Market, Barnacle is pushing the boat out for lovers – and lovers of amazing food – with a £60 per person six-course culinary experience inspired by the day. There’ll be chef’s snacks and a glass of rosé to start, an amuse bouche, starter, main, pre-dessert and dessert. There are cocktail specials on too.

Love Lane Brewery
Love Lane in the Baltic is putting a shout out to partners and best mates – couples can celebrate on the 14th with a special Valentine’s sharer menu. Stretch things out a bit, and the following weekend Galentines get three speciality cocktails to choose from, 2-4-1 G&Ts and deals on bottles of low-cal prosecco from ThinK Wine.

Lunyalita
At the Albert Dock, Spanish favourite Lunyalita is back open after a refurb with a special Valentine’s menu, featuring a trio of gorgeous desserts, a complimentary glass of cava and box of chocolate truffles. The menu, £89 per couple, is on Feb 12-14 but on Valentine’s Day itself couples will be serenaded by a flamenco guitarist from 6-7.30pm.

CowShed
Meat loving lovers should think about trying out this one, and there’s the option to take a veggie partner for cut-price! CowShed on Seel Street has two Valentine’s menus, one at £52 per person for meat-eaters (which includes chargrilled rump, ribeye and fillet for two to share, plus sides and sauces) and another at £30 for non-meat eaters.

Lu Ban
Lu Ban has two lovingly-created sharing menus, both with a glass of Lu Ban Drappier Champagne. The £150 per couple meaty one includes an oyster starter as seen on Great British Menu and an amazing steak, fragrant mushroom and Szechuan lobster. There’s a vegan alternative, at £120 per couple, both available from Feb 10th to Valentine’s Day.

Stanley’s Bar & Grill
If you fancy a lovely hotel setting for your romantic dinner, Stanley’s at the Titanic has a three-course menu which comes with a glass of Bottega Rosé Gold at £40 per person. It includes a choice of sharing mains – beef medallions or sea bass with tiger prawns – and there’s scorched baked Alaska sharing dessert too.

Courtyard Bar & Kitchen
For a loved-up meal with gorgeous views over St George’s Hall, Courtyard on Roe Street, which specialises in dishes using seasonal locally-sourced ingredients, has a great Valentine’s special menu on for Saturday and Monday. Book in with a loved one for a three-course meal and a bottle of wine to share for £25 per person.

Gusto
Italians are known for romance, so if you want to impress your other half in Italian style get to Gusto at the Albert Dock where they’re serving a three-course special Valentine’s sharing menu for two from Feb 11-14. It features an antipasti sharing board, 18oz Chateaubriand plus a sharing platter of favourite desserts, and it’s £90 per couple.

Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill
If you want to indulge yourself and your partner, try the five-course menu at Marco Pierre White’s. It’s £35.95 per person, mains include beef wellington for two and for anyone happy to share dessert there’s a Box Tree Mess or a trio of desserts. It’s also two-for-one on Beefeater Pink strawberry G&Ts.

Fazenda
On Exchange Flags, South American grilled meat specialists Fazenda has a Valentine’s menu running from Friday 11th until Tuesday 15th, lunch and dinner. There’s a meat one obviously, but also a vegan/veggie or pescatarian option and, in addition to the regular mains, everyone gets a glass of sparkling wine on arrival and petit fours to share for dessert.

Anyone planning a night out around south Liverpool should check out Cork & Fork on Allerton Road where they’ve got a special couples Valentine’s offer on for Monday. It’s any three courses each from the full menu plus a bottle of wine or prosecco to share, £60 for two people – all day, from 12 noon onwards.

Madre
If the food of love is tacos – and why shouldn’t it be? – head to the Albert Dock where you’ll find Madre’s El Dia Del Amour, (that’s ‘the day of love’) menu. Celebrate with seven dishes plus a jug of margaritas or a bottle of wine for £70. Couples can choose from quesadillas, tostadas, small plates and signature tacos.
