Vernon Kay brings Dance Sounds of the 90s Live to Liverpool Olympia this November
3 months ago
Vernon Kay is bringing his iconic BBC Radio 2 show, Dance Sounds of the 90s, to the Liverpool Olympia on Friday, 1 November, for a night packed with nostalgia and the best 90s dance anthems!
Dance Sounds of the 90s is your chance to join Vernon on a journey back to the days of rave culture, when house phones, Sega Megadrives, and Sony Discmans were king.
Vernon, who hosts the show on Radio 2 and BBC Sounds, is swapping the studio for the stage as he takes the ultimate 90s dance party on the road, with stops in Bolton, Coventry, and Bristol before hitting Liverpool.
And he’s not coming alone – expect some very special guests to make this night one to remember.
Vernon Kay said:
“The 90s was one of the best loved decades when it came to music, Britpop and dance music came together to create an energy that the youth of its time attached itself to and created mayhem on the dance floors.
“Now more than 30 years on, Britpop is still as energetic as it was and dance music has now come full circle with the kids of today hearing samples from the tunes that originally rocked dance floors back in the 1990s and it’s for that reason that we are taking Dance sounds of the 90s on the road, to play the greatest hits from the best decade of dance.
“So come and join me Vernon Kay for Dance Sounds of the 90s Live, I can guarantee you’ll be hard pressed to keep your hands by your side, rave on, see you there!”
Whether it’s The Shamen, The Prodigy, Snap!, Underworld, or Ultra Nate, Vernon’s ready to bring those unforgettable tunes back to life.
So, dust off your classic rave outfits, get your glow sticks ready, and prepare for a night of pure 90s joy as Vernon brings the spirit of the dance floor to the Olympia.
