Following on from its recent awards successes including securing two AA rosettes for culinary excellence and being listed in the Michelin Guide, Vetch, on Hope Street in the heart of Liverpool’s historic quarter has now been included in the prestigious UK food guide the Good Food Guide, achieving a rating of Very Good.

The Good Food Guide review remarks:

‘’The menu reflects his in-depth interest in both Nordic and Japanese cuisines, and the result is intriguing as well as sophisticated.’’

‘’Fittingly given the proximity of the famous Liverpool Art School, dishes are strikingly presented and exactingly plated on handsome ceramics.’’

For over 70 years, The Good Food Guide has been the trusted source of information on where to eat across Great Britain. It’s truly independent and is compiled by combining reader feedback with anonymous inspections by a long-standing team of inspectors, who criss-cross the country, reviewing as they go – eating as any other customer, paying their own bills, and then leaving to reflect on their experience and setting pen to paper.

Each eatery that’s included in The Good Food Guide is assessed on its uniqueness, warmth, deliciousness, and how strongly it would be recommended to friends and family.

Vetch now features alongside nine other city restaurants, including Wreck, Roski, Maray, Belzan and Manifest.

There’s no doubt that chef-owner Dan McGeorge’s simple seasonal food philosophy has put Vetch on Liverpool’s fine dining map. This is part of the reason why once more the restaurant has been recognised and now features in one of the UK’s leading food guides.
