Can you spot yourself in our Liverpool Santa Dash 2017 video above?
Once again the streets of Liverpool errupted today as a sea of red and blue Santa suits graced our city for the 14th time.
The Liverpool Santa Dash 2017, in conjunction with Arriva NW, St Johns Shopping & Radio City, started at 9.30am from the Pier Head, finishing five kilometres later at the Town Hall. Radio City’s Leanne Campbell & Dave Kelly kicked things off at the start line and greeted participants at the finish line too. Leanne said “When Liverpool puts its heart into something you can bet your life we will do it better than any other place in the world. The Santa Dash is a prime example of that. Pro runners alongside first timers alongside, babies, dogs and teenagers setting the standard and having a ball! Christmas at its best!”
This years official charity was Claire House Children’s Hospice which is based on Wirral and also now on Liverpool. Radio City’s Cash for Kids also benefited as did Clatterbridge Cancer Charity, Woodlands Hospice and many other local and national organisations.
Watch below as we take you to the new Claire House in West Derby.
The annual mini dash took place at 11am with hundreds of small Santas taking part and the Santa dogs were out in force too, with festive pooches donning their best Santa suits.
Watch all of the action above and head to the BTR Liverpool website here to get involved next year.
