Embrace the feeling of flight when you stand between Angel Wings in the Cathedral’s Derby Transept. Created by Luxmuralis, Angel Wings is a moving light projection artwork. At shoulder height, the Angel Wings’ feathers pulsate and change colour to a curated soundtrack.
An award-winning artistic collaboration, between Peter Walker sculptor, and composer David Harper, Luxmuralis is known for producing large-scale light and sound shows. They have now created an art form called Light Tags. It’s a type of light graffiti, projecting small light artworks on walls and buildings.
Specially designed for Liverpool Cathedral, Angel Wings is the first version of a Light Tag which Luxmuralis have created as an installation.
