Advertorial
Liverpool FC is launching two amazing new fan experiences, including a chance to enjoy a coaching session on the iconic AXA Melwood pitches, the former home of the LFC menâs team, and now the elite training ground for LFC Women.
The Ultimate LFC Experience and The Anfield Experience will officially start from January 2024.
And the good news for anyone hunting for an unforgettable present for a massive Reds fan is that gift vouchers for both are available from Monday December 4!
Liverpool FC already has its Stadium Tour, which regularly ranks as the cityâs number one attraction on TripAdvisor, as well as popular legends Q&A events and the heart-racing Anfield Abseil which launched in January this year.
Now the two new five-star experiences will take fan access to the next level, allowing devoted Reds to immerse themselves in everything that makes the club one of the greatest.
Lasting around nine hours, The Ultimate LFC Experience begins at Anfield where fans are welcomed to one of the premium lounges and can chat to former players including Phil Thompson, Jan Molby, John Aldridge & more.Â
Recreating something only the team normally gets to do, theyâll then board an LFC players bus and drive out through the playersâ entrance before heading on to AXA Melwood.
Famously transformed in the â60s by boss Bill Shankly, the training ground that witnessed decades of success and superstars became the home of LFC Women this summer.
Once at Melwood, supporters will be put through their paces in a 90-minute training session led by club coaches with input from some famous faces who once wore the shirt. Everyone will get quality one-on-one time with the ex-players, then itâs back to Anfield for five-star treatment, with food, drink, entertainment, live music, a stadium tour, a gift bag and voucher to spend in the LFC store.
Alongside The Ultimate LFC Experience, the club is also relaunching a new and improved six-hour Anfield Experience which will be based at the stadium, giving fans a similarly special itinerary without the coaching element.
Tom Cassidy, Director of Tourism at LFC, says the two are a major step towards helping the club achieve its goal of delivering something memorable and world class for fans off the pitch as well as on it.
âWeâve been looking to redefine our experiences this year, using our assets in an imaginative and creative way, and these two experiences have gone over and above what we were hoping to do,â he says.
âBeing able to offer a football element at Melwood is a game changer for us because we know itâs a very special place to fans, where so many of the greats trained, so weâve got a lot of tales to tell there.Â
âI donât believe thereâs any other club, certainly in the UK, offering what we will, and weâve got to do it right. That means being respectful when it comes to using Melwood, because it is a professional site, so weâll have an LFC womenâs ambassador working with us on these experiences alongside LFC legends.Â
âWeâve put ourselves in the shoes of fans to create these experiences, and we want to be surprising people and sprinkling in some LFC magic. Weâre also working with our operations team to increase availability and where possible, schedule these at peak times, including on either side of match days when Liverpool is full of fans.
âThe city and the club, our stadium and our facilities have moved on a lot, so it feels like itâs the right time to do this.
âWe get 350,000 people a year on our tours and thatâs record numbers, but we donât want to stop there. This is Liverpool FC, one of the biggest football clubs in the world, and thereâs an expectation in terms of what we can, should and could be delivering, so weâre always looking for whatâs next.â
