It might be one of Liverpool’s best loved night-time venues – but Camp and Furnace has now opened its doors for a fantastic array of daytime offerings, becoming the new hang out for Baltic workers and visitors to the area.
Think great food, chilled vibes, and the best music – in fact everything your favourite place has always offered, but now… while the sun’s still out.
Becky Rascal, Events onsultant at the Baltic venue, says: “Camp and Furnace is known for its amazing night-time selection, but now we’re bringing Camp and Furnace into the daytime too.
“We want to offer our Baltic and the local community an opportunity to come in and experience Camp and Furnace in the day. In the week it’s a bit of a hub, a place people can come, bring their laptops, do a bit of work, and have great, healthy, affordable food options.”
The Greenland Street destination will be open from 11am-5pm, Wednesday to Saturday, and people can choose to sit inside or go al fresco in Camp’s Lobby and Courtyard outside areas.
“There’ll be discounts and offers for people who work in the Baltic area and a loyalty scheme so, for instance, if you buy five meals, you’ll get the sixth meal for free,” adds Becky.
On Sundays from September 4, Camp and Furnace will also be open from 11am to 7 pm with food, drinks, music and sports offerings for those not ready to end the weekend!
Camp and Furnace’s infamous Fan Park returns with all Football League games being screened, and in Lobby, DJs will play a mix of house, funk, disco, and soul.
Food for all dietary requirements will be on offer courtesy of the fantastic Burnt Orange, Camp’s new in-house catering team, with their Summer menu – including veggie and meat brunch boxes filled with loads of tasty goodies, avocado on toast, house pancakes and sausage and egg on toast.
The Burnt Orange main menu will feature salads, sandwiches and snack boxes as well as mouth-watering meals like Creole chicken, sweet soy glazed salmon, and slow-cooked 5 bean chipotle feijoada on sweet jacket potato. (Not forgetting amazing sides such as double cooked Jersey Royal pots and mac & cheese croquettes).
Sunday Social will provide even more on the food offering front Becky tells us: “Camp always used to be known for its infamous Sunday Roast, so the roasts are making a return – only this time as a giant Yorkshire pudding Sunday roast wrap!” …It’s making us hungry just thinking about it!
“We want to offer a space to chill at the end of the week, where people can come and socialise, have a bite to eat, watch the footie if they want to or listen to great music either indoors or in the sunshine, our cocktail menu will also offer Sunday favourites, including Bloody Marys, Espresso Martinis, and Mimosas.”
“Daytimes are about everything Camp has to offer, it’s not just about coming here to watch a band, DJ or have a drink and a night out. There are two sides to Camp – and we want people to enjoy both!”
