The Hilton Liverpoolâs got the holiday feeling this summer, and you donât need to check in to check out its great new al fresco terrace.
The hotel has teamed up with The Botanist Islay Dry Gin and Love Lane Brewery to create a fab outdoor area where you can enjoy the best food and drink, listen to live music, get together with your mates ⌠or just simply watch the world go by.
Because if you want to kick back when the sun comes out, this is definitely the place to go: think relaxed vibe, brill city views, and, of course, cracking cocktails and beers.
Sam Dewey, food and beverage manager for Hilton Liverpool, says:
âWe have got a great selection of drinks, all created around The Botanist gin, from a Botanist Bramble to a Pear Martini; we have small plates served out here from 12 OâClock till late every day, and live music from two OâClock on Saturdays and Sundays.â
And he adds: âItâs a really busy place, thereâs a lovely vibe, so get on down.â
The new terrace runs along the side of the hotel in Thomas Steers Way, so amazing views of the waterfront and the Albert Dock, as well as the lovely Chavasse Park, come as a complimentary side order.
You can take your place at one of the gorgeous garden tables and chairs, or bench-style seating, and unwind beneath the parasols there to shelter you from the sun when the rays get too hot.
The faux-grassed area also sits among shading trees and colourful flowers and foliage, with a central bar area so you can watch as your drinks are skilfully prepared by Hiltonâs expert bar staff and mixologists.
And youâll just love the orchid filled archway which is the entrance to this stunning new city terrace bar!
(Who needs the Amalfi coast or the Spanish riviera when youâve got perfect places like this to spend summer?)
The bar bites menu offers three Big Bites Plates for ÂŁ20, with a selection of tasty food to choose from, like spicy cauliflower fritters, tangy BBQ wings, and beef barbacoa mac and cheese – or you could even opt to go all classy and take afternoon tea!
Sam says: âMy inspiration for the place was that this was a completely unutilised area of the hotel, so we really wanted to brighten it up and make the side of the hotel a real hub of activity.
âWhat can you expect here? Live music, small plates, great cocktails, and great service.â
So whether you fancy a welcome break when youâre trawling round the shops, or youâre looking for a fab new destination bar to get in the diary for fun in the sun, this is exactly what youâre after.
The alfresco terrace at Hilton Liverpool is open daily from 12pm, and you can listen to live music every weekend from 2pm.
