Here’s 5 reasons why Knowsley Safari is a fab day out, whatever the weather….
1 – The Safari Drive
The changeable British weather doesn’t deter the Knowsley Safari animals. Home of the UK’s longest safari drive, you can spot lions, zebras, wildebeest, camels, bison, very cheeky monkeys and more basking in the sun or enjoying the cool rain showers. Not got a car? Check out the Baboon Bus here.Ā
2 – Sea Lion Shows
Biffo, Arthur, Roger and Louis are the real life superstars at Knowsley Safari. Showing off their incredible intelligence and tricks as part of a daily, indoor display, these boys certainly know how to put on a show. You can also see them swim and sunbathe in their outdoor pool. More in Knowsley Safari daily animal displays here.Ā
3 – Feeding Time
Did you know Knowsley Safari has a deli, outdoor grill, restaurant and coffee house? Conveniently places near the sandpit, you’ll find freshly prepared, tasty treats from wraps and sandwiches to hearty filling meals including fish and chips and bolognese. The Oasis restaurant kids menu is bursting with flavour and lots of options to please even the pickiest of eaters. What do you fancy? More on food and drink here.Ā
4 – Let Kids Be Kids
As well as giving kids the opportunity to see many fascinating animals, right here in Merseyside, Knowsley Safari provides stickers, maps and a chance to burn off some energy on the foot safari, play parks and sandpits. Education and great fun, the best of both worlds when looking for memorable days out in the summer holidays. More on special events here.Ā
5 – Baboon Bus
Whether you want to experience being driven through the baboons without risking your car or just want to sit back and enjoy the Safari while somebody else does the driving, book your seat for justĀ Ā£6.00 per person.
The fleet of busses explore the whole safari drive every weekend and every day throughout school holidays (subject to availability). Each trip can last between 1 toĀ 2 hours and allows you to get up close to some of the world’s most amazing animals, from lions, rhino, zebra and of course, baboons. More info here.
