Liverpool’s famous Lewis’s Grotto has re-opened in its brand new home, and it’s truly magical.
Having left children spellbound at Lewis’ Department Store for more than 100 years, the famous ‘Christmas Fairyland’ experience has undergone a huge transformation and settled into its new home at St John’s Market. Having launched new themes every year to thrill and delight kids and Christmas fans of all ages, the grotto’s is an integral part of the festive season for thousands of Liverpool families.

The Grotto was recently as rick of closure until entrepreneur, Guy Fennell, who shares the same passion for Liverpool and Christmas, stepped in and saved the festive spectacle by relocating it to St John’s Market. Working closely with Mayor Joe Anderson and Manager of St John’s Market, David Wightman, it was quickly decided that the newly refurbished market would be an ideal location for the 5,000 sq ft Christmas Grotto.
Guy Fennell commented: “Visitors will enjoy a magical tour around the enchanting Grotto and see the famous attraction before stopping off at Liverpool’s very own North Pole to meet Santa. We look forward to welcoming back families and continuing this fabulous tradition.”
Tickets are priced at Ā£8. Included in the ticket is a visit to see Santa, the chance to experience the winter wonderland attraction and receive a gift. The Grotto is open from 18th November until 24th December 2017 between 9am and 8pm with varying times on Sunday and during Christmas week.
