Advertorial
We take a look at the stunning Riva Blu situated on the corner of Castle Street and catch up with Helen Bamford as she tells us all about the venue.
DECISIONS, decisions: do you meet your mates for a morning catch-up and Bottomless Brunch, get together with family over a bowl of pasta, or get glammed up for the evening and join the Cocktail Club?
Or… why not do all three?
Summer’s here, and Riva Blu is the perfect place to put your social life back on the priority pile and enjoy all the things you’ve missed over the last few years.
Situated on the corner of Castle Street and Dale Street (great for catching those rays on its outdoor dining terrace), Riva Blu is a superb, authentic Italian restaurant.
It’s in the beautiful Grade II listed building which used to be the Midland Bank, but these days it’s less about base rates and overdrafts and more about banking on fabulous food, a great atmosphere, and getting your life balance back on track.
There’s a specially-created menu filled with fabulous dishes using the country’s finest and locally sourced ingredients, from classic Italian dishes like Spaghetti Carbonara, Lasagne, Margherita Pizza and Veal Milanese through to specially crafted signature dishes.
Guests love its Arancine, crisp risotto balls, with truffle, mozzarella and truffle mayonnaise; Linguine with Lobster which offers a hint of the Amalfi coast right here in Liverpool, and its perfect Parma Ham Pizza, cooked in a wood-fired oven by fully-trained pizza chefs.
And not forgetting its not-to-miss desserts, like Bombolini, a trio of Italian doughnuts with three different fillings! With an open kitchen in the centre of the restaurant, you can watch while the kitchen team cooks all your favourite dishes.
And while it’s all about the food – it’s not JUST about the food.
You can enjoy drinks in the stunning island bar, or take to the terrace to sample its range of Italian wines, beers and spirits – or maybe one of Rive Blu’s signature cocktails. (We’re loving the Cry Me A Riva, Absolut watermelon vodka and passion fruit liqueur with raspberries, peach, lemon and cranberry!).
And just look at these great offers.
From Friday to Sunday, 12pm-3pm, you can enjoy Bottomless Brunch with unlimited Pinza (a hand stretched, crisp light-base pizza, ideal for sharing!) and Spritz for ÂŁ35 per person for 90 minutes (Peroni and Prosecco are also available).
You can pop along to enjoy the Cocktail Club, available Monday to Friday from 5pm- 7pm, with selected cocktails for just ÂŁ6 (or ÂŁ5 for Club Individual Members*).
And there’s a Summer Lunch Menu – Monday to Friday, 12pm-5pm – with selected main courses for just ÂŁ8*, and Wine Wednesdays, with 50% off bottles of wine when dining from 5pm*.
There’s even entertainment with DJ’s every Friday and Saturday from 5pm, and live music on Sundays between 5.30pm-7.30pm.
And, if you’ve got an event coming up, the Bullion Room is a hidden gem with a private dining space that’s ideal for intimate weddings, family celebrations or corporate meals. The former vault can accommodate up to 50 guests for a sit-down meal or 65 for a stand-up event; and the room has a TV which can be used for presentations, a private bar, and a
separate music system (if required, Riva Blu can arrange a private DJ too!).
