We gave The Playhouse’s ‘Baskerville’ 5 stars, here are 5 reasons why Sherlock fans can’t miss it

An age old mystery has come to Liverpool in the form of Baskerville and you’re invited to try and solve it once and for all.

Showing at the Playhouse Theatre, Williamson Square, this Sherlock Holmes classic tale transports the audience to deepest Devon, on a dark night to solve a gigantic, hairy murder mystery. Showing now until 13th January 2018, the show is a great alternative Christmas night out that will have you retelling the story for weeks to come.
Watch the cast in action rehearsing for Baskerville at the Playhouse below.
We went to see it last night and have given it five festive stars. Here’s 5 reasons why you should see Baskerville at the Playhouse Theatre this Winter.

It’s hilarious!

Who’d have thought that such a serious turn-of-the-century tale could become a witty comedy and make you rock in your seat laughing! Expect a proper giggle at the superbly written script.

Get lost in the story

The set and effects and changes in atmosphere, weather, props and costumes makes you lose yourself in the story and transports you to deepest, darkest Devon, forgetting all about Liverpool!

Cast Maths

So hang on lets do some number crunching here. There are 5 cast members who play a whopping 42 different characters and every one of them is totally unique. It’s got to be seen to be believed.

Benedict Who?

Fans of the most recent Sherlock series will enjoy this traditional tale told in a totally new way, Who needs Benedict Cumberbatch when you have Jay Taylor on the case?

The Distinction is Clear

The ending is superb, but we’re obviously not going to solve this classic Arthur Conan Doyle mystery with a spoiler. Just get your tickets and find out for yourself!
There are also a number of post show Murder Mystery Tours on 14th, 15th December and again on 5th January for more info head this way.
