What food & drink is on the menu at Liverpool Loves?

There’s just three days to go before the Pier Head comes alive with live music, family fun, and healthy living for the Liverpool Loves Festival Day on Saturday, 6th August.
Visitors can look forward to an amazing 12-hour programme of entertainment this Saturday but, of course, it wouldn’t be a “feel good” festival without plenty of fabulous food and drink!
Luckily, the organisers of the 3-day festival have pulled out all the stops to provide the best food and drink the city has to offer!
In a bid to reflect the fantastic range of independent bars, restaurants and producers popping up around the city – Orb Events has sourced the most mouthwatering selection of caterers to tantilise your tastebuds.
To keep visitors fuelled for the day, there’ll be some brilliant indie street food specialists, cocktail sellers, and the best local craft beers that money can buy.
There will be something to satisfy all tastes and budgets – from vegan delights to global gastronomy. Whether you want gluten free or the best hot dogs around, they’ve got it covered.

DD Thai
Faye Graham, concessions manager at Orb Events, is justifiably proud of this year’s food and drink offering. She said: “The calibre of street food we have on offer from around the world is really reflective of our multicultural hub of a city.
“We have everything from street food and snacks to the high end restaurant style cuisine and cocktails. We will also have a special area dedicated to showcasing the homegrown food from local producers, not to mention a great range of bars to ensure the party goes with a swing!”
Take your tastebuds on a gastronomical journey around the globe with homemade gourmet samosas from Perfect Samosa, fresh Caribbean curries from Crave De Taste and contemporary Himalayan dishes from Tibetan Kitchen.
Sample some of Pavs Dhaba’s authentic Indian street food, try DD Thai’s speciality Thai food, enjoy some of Eat Up Gud’s Jerk chicken, or tuck into some Indonesian dishes courtesy of Warung Makan.
Or perhaps you would prefer some pulled pork burgers? Then head for The Pulled Swine stand. Talking Italian? Head to Rigatoni’s Pasta. Take a bite of the best burritos in Liverpool at the Evil Eye Burrito Shack! Or perhaps one of Little Furnace’s woodfire pizzas would take your fancy?

Little Furnace
Gorge on a gourmet hotdog at Meet Frank, grab a burger at the Gourmet Grill, fill up on Rockin Food’s flatbreads, falafel wraps from Hafla Hafla, devour a hog roast from Dell Trotter’s, treat yourself to a toastie at The Toast Office or sample some surf and turf pots at Hardy’s Kitchen.

Christines Cakes
And the sweet toothed are well catered for too with a selection of sweet treats from Christine’s Cakes, crepes and waffles at Crepes Temptation to low fat frozen yoghurts at The Yog Bar. And who could refuse a Cheshire Farm Ice Cream?
And to wash it down, Orb Events has lined up some of the city’s best bars to quench your thirst from Boston Shakers and Bretta & Co to the newly refurbished PANAM. Raise a glass and celebrate with some fine wines, summer cocktails, fabulous fizz or a cool craft beer or two!
In fact, there will be a Craft Beer Bus featuring local lagers from Mad Hatter Brewery to Love Lane Brewery and Bubbles Beach Bar will be serving cocktails, prosecco and live entertainment – with the official festival afterparty running until 11pm.
So don’t miss the Liverpool Loves Festival Day this Saturday. There will be Five stages at Pier Head Liverpool – showcasing performers, cultural and community organisations to keep you entertained throughout the day. And then treat yourself to some well-earned refreshments!
