It’s been a busy weekend with an England victory in the UEFA Women’s EURO Final 2025 and in the city, more celebrations with the new Liverpool’s Pride Weekend.

But don’t think things are going to get quieter anytime soon!

It’s Summer and that means absolutely loads going on in Liverpool, including all this this week…


Modern Toss exhibition continues

Modern Toss are celebrating their 21st anniversary with an interactive exhibition at Northern Lights in the Baltic Triangle. It’ll run from now until August 10 with some of Modern Toss’s most famous artwork as well as some brand new pieces. Created by cult cartoonists and animators Jon Link and Mick Bunnage, the museum style display will have more than 100 original pieces including token operated swearing machines, big stone heads, and large-scale paintings, while new works feature the wind-powered sculpture The Modern Toss Finger Mill.

Celebrating Castle Street on Sunday

After a huge success last year, free festival Celebrating Castle Street is back this Sunday, August 3, showcasing the best of the city. You can look forward to incredible food and drink, music, street entertainers, markets, kids’ fun and more from 11am to 5pm, courtesy of Liverpool BID Company. Highlights include music from Batala Mersey and the Stick Lips Roaming Brass Band, stilt walkers, a makers’ market in Exchange Flags, the chance to play chess with a pro – and free ice cream from San Carlo!

Summer on the Park – Liverpool ONE

There’s tons of stuff aimed especially on families having fun at Chavasse Park in Liverpool ONE this week, including a beach, summer children’s rides and free sporting sessions. From now until Sunday, August 31, you can head to its free beach area where you’ll also find a stack of rides; and every Thursday to Sunday until the end of August, it’s got free sporting sessions from football and tennis to boxing, basketball, and even rowing and dodgeball.

Kids, get set to get stylish as Nuvola opens in The Metquarter following the success of its first store in Kirkby. The luxury retailer’s the brainchild of former Kids Cavern employees and will have all the best designer names from DSQUARED2 and Burberry, to Dolce & Gabbana, Stella McCartney, Missoni, and many more, stocking everything from timeless classics to on-trend designs.

The new Flight Club Terrace in Chavasse Park

Tuck into the new Christakis at BOXPARK

Famous Greek city restaurant Christakis is one of two new names finding another home at BOXPARK Liverpool with all the authentic Greek dishes from classic chicken gyros wraps, to halloumi and loukanika sausage, and Christakis’ legendary feta spring rolls that Liverpool loves. If you’ve got a sweet tooth its Baklava stuffed with crushed pistachios and covered in syrup is a must-have, along with the Baltic venue’s usual menu of great sports and music, and loads of other amazing food and drink vendors.

Dino-takeover at World Museum on Wednesday & Thursday

The World Museum on William Brown Street’s roaring into action with some prehistoric family activities including special workshops, curator discussions, museum trails … and the odd VIP (Very Important Prehistoric) visitor!  You can meet life-like dinosaur puppets, enjoy a handson fossilhunting adventure in the Bug House, set off on a Dino Treasure Hunt and Digital Discovery Trail, and more.

Saturday with The Cavern Club Beatles

Taking you right back to the Swinging Sixties and where it all began, this show is a must for Beatles fans, on every Saturday and covering all eras of the Fab Four’s music from the early days of The Cavern to Let It Be and beyond. The theatre style show takes place in the Cavern Live Lounge which also happens to be the very stage Sir Paul McCartney played on in his return to the historic venue in 1999 and again in 2018.

Sacred & Silly: Crafting Your Own Symbolic Charm

Whether you’re a budding artist or just looking for a great family activity this summer, you’ll love the workshops at the Discovery Room at Liverpool Central Library. Part of the Liverpool Biennial BEDROCK art festival, they’re on every Saturday until September 6 and this Saturday between 11am and 4pm you can join artist Alisha Friday and the Liverpool Biennial Learning Team for a playful, hands-on workshop exploring identity, memory and imagination through craft. Inspired by Liverpool’s natural textures children and families are invited to make their own 3D symbolic charm using natural and recycled materials.
