It’s HOT in the city, here’s how you should be starting your summer in Liverpool. Who’s ready to party?

The first week of July 2018 is bursting with ideas to get outside and explore our amazing city. From waterfront celebrations of our Irish heritage to film screenings, theatre, world cup action, luscious brunch, 90’s parties and plenty of gin. With the sun sticking around for at least another week, what’s on in Liverpool never looked so good!

Here’s what’s on in Liverpool this week 2nd-8th July 2018…..

Monday 2nd July

Breakfast at Delifonseca, Dockside

We’re starting our week off with a tasty breakfast in the sun and where better than out of the hustle and bustle of the city at Delifonseca, Dockside. Full English, fresh pastries and museli bowls galore. Menus here. 

Double Fantasy, Museum of Liverpool

If you haven’t already been, take a wander down to Museum of Liverpool and check out Double Fantasy, the exhibition showcasing the phenomenal talents and relationship goal of Liverpool’s most famous son, John Lennon and Yoko Ono. More here.

Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters, Echo Arena

Fresh from a playing a host of American dates, Roger Water’s brings his ‘Us & Them’ tour to the Echo Arena on Monday night. Featuring songs from Pink Floyd’s greatest albums such as The Dark Side of The Moon, The Wall, Animals and Wish You Were Here. More info here. 

Tuesday 3rd July

The Shape of Water, Liverpool Philharmonic

Step back in time and check out Guillermo del Toro’s 60’s thriller, The Shape of Water on the big cinema screen at the Liverpool Phil on Tuesday evening. Cold War Era conspiracies with more than 20 award nominations in a stunning venue! Tickets here. 

Colombia V England, Crazy Pedro’s

World Cup knock out games continues at 7pm on Tuesday as Colombia take on our mighty lions and you can watch all the action, with a fit slice and cold beer at Crazy Pedro’s on Parr Street. Pick your favourite pizza and book a booth here. 

Son of a Preacher Man, Empire Theatre

We can’t wait to see former EastEnders actress Michelle Gayle in Son of a Preacher Man at the Liverpool Empire from Tuesday until Saturday. If you love the music of Dusty Springfield, this is the musical for you. Tickets here. 

Wednesday 4th July

Independence Day, North Shore Screenings

North Shore Troubadour launches its film night screenings this Wednesday from 6pm, with none other than Will Smith alien flick, Independence Day…obvs! The 150″ HD screen is all set up and it’s just £5 a ticket including a drink and popcorn too! Tickets here. 

Spotify Wednesdays, Leaf on Bold Street

Hot Chocolate Tour

You can play a part in the best playlist of 2018 at Spotify Wednesday’s at Leaf on Bold Street. See if you can win over the crowd with your selection. Grab a drink and pull up a pew for an eclectic, chilled night out from 8pm. Free Entry.

The Tempest, Bombed Out Church

Fancy a bit of culture on Wednesday evening? Head down to the Bombed Out Church, Berry Street and check out The Tempest, brought to the scouse masses in a brand new way! The original Shakespeare was set in space wasn’t it? Got a feeling this will be one to remember. Tickets here.  

Thursday 5th July

G&T Gin & Thursdays, Revolution, Cavern Quarter

Right it’s officially the weekend and we’re heading to Revolution, Cavern Quarter to partake in a little Gin appreciation. With a whole new cocktail menu of re-worked gin classics, we might even take Friday off! Check them out here.

Liverpool FEIS, Pier Head

Liverpool’s biggest and best celebration of Irish music and culture is bringing none other than Van Morrison to the Pier Head. Liverpool Feis (pronounced Feh-shh) is going to be one heck of a party, and you’d be mad to miss it. See you on the waterfront on Saturday 7th July. More info here. 

Star Wars Gathering, Exhibition Centre Liverpool

We’re on the search for our very own Han Solo this Saturday as Exhibition Centre Liverpool is hosting a fundraising event that is out of this world. Silent Adventures Weekly Tour, The Club House
