What’s on this week in Liverpool 15th – 22nd April 2019

We’ve got a bumper week of events lined up ahead of bank holiday weekend in Liverpool and beyond.

There’s no counting down to the Bank holiday weekend in Liverpool, we’re starting as we mean to go on from Monday. With loads of food, live music, roof top parties, film nights, Game of Thrones, Easter Egg hunts and more to come, you’d better get a bottomless brunch booked- you’re going to need it!

Monday 15th April

Hillsborough 30th Anniversary, St George’s Hall

Liverpool will remember the 96 on Monday, the 30th anniversary of the tragedy, with a temporary memorial. 96 candle lit lanterns will be placed on the steps at St George’s Hall for the public to pay their respects. More here. #NeverForgotten

Game of Thrones S8 Screening, Bierkeller

This is it! The final chapter in the epic tale. Game of Thrones S8 is being shown on 3 massive screens at
Bierkeller along with a GoT themed buffet banquet and welcome drink. More info here. 

Seven Drunken Nights, Liverpool Empire

Seven Drunken Nights tells the story of the infamous Dubliners and is in town at the Liverpool Empire for one night only. Documenting the Dubliners’ rise to international stardom expect to hear Irelands biggest songs and tales. Tickets here.

Tuesday 16th April

Lunch at Gusto, Royal Albert Dock

With temperatures on the rise and more sunny days forecast, what better way to enjoy the Spring weather than with lunch, dockside at Gusto. Kids eat for just £1 Monday – Friday through the Easter holidays too. Menus and more here.

Open Decks DJ Workshop for Women

Melodic Distraction’s Open Decks workshops are back and now in their forever home at Kazimier Stockroom. Third Tuesday of every month, from 7pm -10pm you can get behind those wheels of steel and hone your craft. More info here. 

Ravin Fit New Brighton

DJ Lee Butler is back at New Brighton’s Floral Pavilion with another session of the brilliant Ravin Fit. All your fave club tunes, glow sticks and burning calories with your mates! Book in and check other dates here. 

Wednesday 17th April

The Wirral Bake-Off, Claremont Farm

It’s all eyes (and appetites) on Claremont Farm as The Wirral Bake Off 2019 takes place from 7:30pm. Prepare to be part of the luckiest audience this Spring as you tuck into a number of slices of the Wirral’s best cake and help decide who is crowned the winner. Porto V Liverpool, District

It’s the Champions League, quarter final second leg clash between Porto and Liverpool on Wednesday night. Kick off is at 8pm and District is screening the game live with live music from Ben Burke. More info here.

Cabin Cinema, Liberty – Bohemian Rhapsody

Bohemian Rhapsody is on at the Liberty Tavern film club on Wednesday night from 7pm. For £20pp you get a drink in arrival, popcorn, seat for the film and a snack too. Find out more and book here. 

Thursday 18th April

Baltic Market Weekender

Easter weekend at Baltic Market begins on Thursday night with half-price prosecco and Friday is all about the disco fever. Free to enter all weekend there’s drinks deals, street food, live music and more. Info here. 

Monty Python’s Life Of Brian, FACT

2019m is the 40th anniversary of Monty Python’s The Life Of Brian and where better to sit back and watch this legendary comedy epic than on the big screen at FACT – the day before Good Friday? Book here.

Kick off your bank  with classic soul and rnb anthems with the one and only Trevor Nelson! Back at Camp & Furnace on Good Friday, the godfather of UK soul is on the decks from 10pm. Tickets available here. 

Kevin Clifton’s Burn The Floor, M&S Bank Arena

Strictly fans will be flocking to the Auditorium at M&S Bank Arena on Friday as pro dancer, Kevin Clifton brings his show ‘Burn the Floor’ to Liverpool for one night only. Get your dancing shoes on and book your tickets here. 

The Easter Bunny’s House Party, PopWorld

It’s all going off at PopWorld this bank holiday weekend. The Easter Bunny is hosting his very own weekend long house party, expect drinks offers, big beats and boss bank holiday vibes. More here.

Saturday 20th April

Bottomless G&T Brunch, NYL Restaurant & Bar

Sunday 21st April – Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday at Grand Central

Monday 22nd April – Bank Holiday Monday

Allerton Manor Easter Egg Hunt

A lovely way to spend a sunny bank holiday Monday with all the family. Allerton Manor is supporting R Charity with an Easter Egg hunt in the beautiful grounds of Allerton Golf Course. The Goonies, FACT
