It’s weekend on in Liverpool and there’s lots to see and do in our city. From Sunday lunch in the big top to banging tunes at the Steel Yard and everything in between.


We’re back with your weekend line up in Liverpool and this weekend there’s just no denying the festive cheer. We’re lining up a whole host of markets, family fun in the big top and of course, nights out and a fabulous Sunday roast to cure any hang over ills. Kick start your weekend with a mulled wine at the Liverpool Christmas Market and check out this little lot.

Open Culture Winter Arts Market, Liverpool Cathedral

The Open Culture Winter Arts Market is back at Liverpool Cathedral from 10am on Saturday morning. Get yourself down there nice and early for first pic at the amazing local food, drink, art, gifts, clothing and more. Info here. 

That's Xmas with Martin Kemp, Camp & Furnace

Former Spandau Ballet guitarist and EastEnders actor Martin Kemp is taking to the decks at Camp & Furnace on Saturday Night. That’s Xmas features all your fave festive bangers from the 80’s, GOLD! Tickets here. 

Circus SKills Workshop, Christmas Spiegeltent

Have you stepped inside the Christmas Spiegeltent at Cain’s Brewery Village yet? This Saturday there’s a fab family event where you learn a whole host of circus skills. Learn the tricks of the big top with highly trained pros, including juggling, tight rope walking and more. Tickets here. 

Happy Mondays, Mountford Hall

The Happy Mondays are performing live at Mountford Hall on Friday night from 7pm. Bringing their unique indie sound down the M62 to delight the masses. We just cant wait to see Bez giving it beans with his tambourine! Tickets here. 

A Horrific Christmas Market, Constellations

Fancy a Christmas event with a dark twist? Head to Constellations on Sunday for A Horrific Christmas Market from 12pm. There’s no cute crimbo decorations here – created by Liverpool Horror Club, this market brings together artists selling everything from original artwork, plagiarised artwork, prints, props, patches, and curiosities fit for any cabinet. Mersey Dog Grotto, Baltic Market

One for the pooches! As ever there’s a four legged bestie event happening in the city this weekend. Baltic Market is hosting its 4th Mersey Dog Grotto on Sunday from 11am. Expect to meet Santa Paws and tonnes of Christmas Canines decked out in their best festive costumes. Tickets and more info here. 

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Liverpool Waters

Fancy a blow out this weekend? Head to Liverpool Waters on Saturday night as Tomorrowland presents, Garden of Madness. Fronted by Belgian DJ/Producers Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, the event marked the first time two of the world’s biggest dance music promoters had teamed up. Tickets and more line up info here. 

Binary presents Detlef, Sosa, Nautica, 24 Kitchen Street

It’s been a trying time for Baltic venue, 24 Kitchen Street. Get down there on Saturday night for Binary presents Detlef, Sosa, Nautica and show your support for a truly superb, independent club and space that has afforded us many amazing nights out. More info here. 

Scouse Snow White, Royal Court Theatre

The Scouse Snow White at Royal Court Theatre has received so many 5 star reviews – you simply have to go and see it for yourself. Starring our very own Lindzi Germain, this 18+ show will have you roaring with laughter as a traditional fairy tale gets well and truly scoused-up! Tickets here. 

Sunday Roast Social, Positive Vibrations, Baltic Triangle

Your Sunday roast recommendation comes courtesy of the Christmas Spiegeltent and Positive Vibrations this week. This one off social gathering invites you to dine inside the big top tent with an amazing line-up of DJs as well as a very special performance from Liverpool poet, musician and actor (and living legend) Levi Tafari.
