Skeleton Key Takeover, Phase One - Friday

Skeleton Key Records are hosting a full night of great live music on Friday. The Merseyside label takes over Phase One as part of Independent Venue Week 2020. The lineup includes Rongorongo – Marvin Powell – The Entire City – Nocturnal Coast – The Roswell Project.

Woman In Black, The Playhouse

Susan Hill’s acclaimed ghost story comes dramatically alive on stage at Liverpool’s Playhouse this weekend after a seven night run. The reviews are in and people are loving the gripping thriller, not for the faint hearted!

Alan Kennedy Q&A, Jurgens Bierhaus - Friday

Jurgens Bierhaus is rolling out a series of Ex LFC Legends nights. First up is reds legend Alan Kennedy. Alan Played over 350 games for Liverpool winning five league titles and two European Cups.  There will be photo opportunities with a European Cup at the end also.

Winter Ales Festival, St. George's Hall

St George’s Hall Winter Ales Festival is back this weekend with over 200 real ales and ciders, an indoor gin garden, tasty food from local independents, live music and a fantastic atmosphere within our most iconic building.

There are sessions on Friday 6pm – 10.30pm and Saturday 6pm – 10.30pm available.

For a dinner dance with a difference...

Lee Butler's Afternoon Delight, Camp and Furnace - Saturday

Liverpool’s King of the Decks brings his vinyl collection to the Baltic this weekend with a night of classic dance, interactive quizzes, sharing platters of food and more tunes than you could veer wish for. It all starts at 6pm and Lee takes to the decks from 9pm.

Luv Bug's Vocal Anthems, Marine Street Social - Saturday

Marine Street Social is getting a new dance night curated by resident Carl Williams! The first event sees DJ Liam Hincks take to the decks as a special guest and best of all, it’s free entry!

Sonic Youtha, 24 Kitchen Street - Saturday

Never been to Sonic Yootha? Now is the time! The legendary club night celebrates its 47th edition this weekend bringing “beats and treats to put the swing in your seat”. This has to be one of the most fun and friendly late night parties in the city, and this month they are getting physical!

The Music of Prince, M&S Bank Arena Auditorium - Saturday

Celebrate the music of an icon this Saturday as the Auditorium at the M&S Bank Arena gets funky with one of the planet’s greatest prince tributes, the New Purple Celebration.

For the Super Bowl LIVE

Various venues - Sunday

It’s the 54th annual NFL Super Bowl final between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers. Crazy Pedro’s on Parr Street, Bierkeller in Liverpool ONE, McCooleys and O’Neills Liverpool will all be showing the game live. Jennifer Lopez and Shakira will entertain the crowds at half-time.

Belzan, Smithdown Road

Surely one of the most beautiful specs on our beloved Smithdown Road, Belzan has ben serving up delicious food since 2018 and the breakfasts are a must-try. All your favourite dishes including vegan and veggie choices, shakshusha which is Moroccan baked eggs and Wye Valley asparagus with eggs on toast. You can enjoy the breakfast menu between 8-3pm.

Pen Factory, Hope Street

If you are after a relaxed lunch in charming surroundings slap bang in the middle of our stunning Hope Street, then the Pen Factory is for you. The venue is brought to us by the same team that once ran the original Everyman Bistro and you can enjoy soups, salads, breads and small or sharing plates. It’s open 11am-midnight and closed Sunday and Monday.

Rosa's Thai, Albert Dock

Thai co-founder Chef Saiphin is a bit of a legend when it comes to authentic Thai cuisine. Saiphin grew up on a mountain farm in Khao Kho, northern Thailand, where she learned to cook with ingredients that were brought straight from field to wok. She now brings those recipes which have been a hit in London, to Liverpool.

For Sunday Roast...

Butterfly & Grasshopper, Renshaw Street

You will love the brand new Butterfly & Grasshopper on the corner of Renshaw and Oldham streets, the pub is spread across three floors of a beautiful nineteenth-century building, and the perfect spot for your weekend.
