Why Liverpool One is at the forefront of retail in the UK
7 years ago
With more high end and high street brands joining this bustling city centre complex, Liverpool One continues to prove why it’s the place to be.
Luxury car manufacturer and sporting giant Mecedes-Benz launched its pop up store on Peter’s Lane, Liverpool One amid a flurry of excitement from car enthusiasts, F1 fans and curious shoppers alike. Joining premium brands such as Ted Baker, Hugo Boss, Reiss and Kuoni, Mercedes Benz has brought a touch of high-octane glamour to the designer district.
Visitors to the new Mercedes Benz pop-up store are invited to check out the latest technological advances in both the Mercedes Benz and SMART range, book a test drive, browse and purchase the latest official merchandise and take a ride on the thrilling in-store F1 simulator. The store will be at the Peter’s Lane location until Sunday 8th October 2017 so don’t miss your chance to check it out.
Watch above as Jay caught up with Head of Communications at Liverpool One, Donna Hewitt to talk about our love of shopping and why Liverpool One does it best. Just short of its 10th birthday celebrations, Liverpool One is as fresh, inviting and innovate as it was on opening day back in 2008, and it’s been at the heart of many events and attractions we deem unmissable on our calendar.
Who doesn’t love the Liverpool One Christmas lights switch on, and we can exclusively reveal it will take place on Thursday 9th November this year. The crowds pack the Paradise Street site and enjoy the brilliant performance and musical spectacle that officially kicks off our Winter celebrations. Once again teaming up with the Liverpool Empire, the official start to Christmas is a must-do!
Over the summer Chavasse Park has been packed with families enjoying the free athletics village, fairground attractions and chilled atmosphere as live music drifts over from The Club House and near by leisure terrace. The Odeon played host to the fabulous House of Suarez Ball, British Style Collective staged a top model flash mob and we’ve shopped all summer long to a phenomenal soundtrack played live by talented amateur pianists.
And then there’s the little things that make a big difference. The L1 toilets and baby changing facilities are always spotless and clean, the information desk staff are genuinely lovely and keen to help out, and the entire site, from the Leisure terrace to the underground car parks are well maintained.
Dedicated to top class customer service, the Liverpool One team work tirelessly to ensure the site offers more than our bog standard shopping experience. Apple stage free weekly tutorial events, Lego invite the kids round for a build, HMV have regular meet and greet gigs and who doesn’t love a birthday party at Build A Bear? John Lewis can make you over, JD can kit you out, Accessorise can add glam finish touches, and us scouse girls can always rely on a last minute Zara purchase to brighten up any tough week at work!
Independent eatery Lunya is about to move into a bigger premises on Hanover Street to allow for even more diners to enjoy the freshest catalunyan cuisine, while the colossal new JD store throws open its doors in time for the Christmas trainees influx!
From High end luxe to high street fashion and everything in-between Liverpool One attracts the huge international brands and nurtures the independents alike. Dine at Jamie’s, shoot pool at Roxy’s and fix up and look sharp at Urban Outfitters, Liverpool One has it all.
