Future Yard
Future Yard in Birkenhead is a shining light of Merseyside’s music scene – and it’s choc full of electric events in 2025.

Wirral Guitar Show
Hosted by Mojo Guitar Shows, The Wirral Guitar show on February 9th is a fantastic day for guitar enthusiasts and music lovers.
Buy, sell or trade preowned, vintage and new guitars as you enjoy live music throughout the day.
Tickets are a bargain at £4 for adults (kids under 12 go free) and the Port Sunlight setting means you can make a day of it.
To The Coast Micro-festival
An unforgettable family micro-festival arrives at Wirral Country Park on Saturday, June 14th.
Celebrating all that’s cool about Wirral’ home grown’, this creative event brings together the best of the Wirral and the local region.
From kid’s activations, games, workshops, performances and play spaces (all included in the ticket price) to DJ sets, marketplace and pop-ups, there’s plenty to keep guests young and old engaged and entertained all day long.
The Wirral Viking Festival
Combining immersive storytelling and educational talks, The Wirral Viking Festival in June is a unique event celebrating the Norse heritage of the Wirral Peninsula.
Discover the significance of the Wirral’s’ Norse heritage & history through live battle re-enactments, immersive theatre, live music, themed crafts, activities and food stalls at this unique two-day event.
The Wirral Beer Festival
The 19th Wirral Beer Festival is back at Hulme Hall, Port Sunlight, from Wednesday16th to Sunday April 20th – and it’s guaranteed to get you squiffy.
Expect over 200 beers and ciders, including 75 real ales and 80 craft beers, continental lagers, ciders and a speciality gin and rum bar.
Make sure you soak it all up with food from their local stallholders, serving delicious fresh food.

Wirral 3k
At just over 2 miles, 3k is ideal for families or groups having a go at their first Race for Life.
This fun, achievable event is an unforgettable day out for all as you walk, jog or run around the scenic course to help fund life-saving cancer research.
With a minimum fundraising target of just £50, The Wirral 3k is the ideal opportunity to raise money for a fantastic cause without the pressure.
Food & Drink
Wirral is fast becoming a foodie destination. So much so that the borough’s bar and restaurants deserve their own article. In the meantime, here are three for you to try this year.
OXA
Located in the quaint Oxton Village, OXA is a Michelin Guide recognised bistro serving up a delicious, constantly changing menu by Andrew Sheridan.
Expect local, seasonal dishes with the occasional Asian twist on their phenomenal tasting menu. The perfect destination for a special occasion.
Burnt Truffle
Award-winning Heswall restaurant Burnt Truffle is part of Gary Usher’s exceptional Elite Bistros group.
With a stunning menu of elevated British fayre and a beautiful outdoor terrace, this idyllic restaurant is ideal for casual lunches and romantic dinners alike.
Their Sunday roast is one of the best around, too.
The Refreshment Rooms
Since reopening as a restaurant in 2012, the former Admiral pub on the Rock Ferry waterfront has forged a well-earned reputation for good home-cooked food at excellent value for money.
The Refreshment Rooms serves unpretentious, top-quality grub from breakfast through dinner. With set menus and deals aplenty, you’ll find something to tickle the fancy of even the fussiest eaters.

With its rich, diverse landscape, Wirral is one of the North West’s finest walking destinations.
From hiking to Hilbre Island and watching for wading birds at Parkgate to joining the Wirral Way in West Kirby or wandering around Willaston, the borough is ideal for outdoor adventure.
