On the Waterfront is back, taking over the Pier Head for an incredible weekend of live music.
Cast, The Cheap Thrills, Ben Hemsley, and the amazing Deacon Blue are among the artists lining up to bring Liverpool to life this weekend for On the Waterfront.
The iconic music legends are taking over the Pier Head from today as part of the four-day âOn the Waterfrontâ Festival.
You can also see comedian Paul Smith, plus a long list of great guest artists.
The Guide Liverpool are giving away ten pairs of weekend tickets to On The Waterfront. You can enter from now until Friday at 4.00pm.

When is it?
On The Waterfront returns to Liverpool’s Pier head from Thursday 20 June – Sunday 23 June 2024.
Where is it?
The Pier Head, right at the heart of Liverpoolâs world-famous waterfront â head for the bronze statue of The Beatles in front of the Three Graces and they will lead the way.
Whoâs performing?
Thursday 20 June:
Recently crowned Liverpoolâs Comedian of the Year, Paul Smith will be headlining Thursday as On The Waterfront join forces with Hot Water Comedy Club for the first time.
Joining him for the jam-packed show of music and entertainment will be some of the UKâs brightest comedy talents and future stars from the Hot Water Comedy roster, with JoJo Sutherland, Mick Ferry, Jamie Hutchinson, Daniel O’reilly, Kane brown and Zoe Lyons. Liverpoolâs first ever open-air comedy festival is guaranteed to be an unmissable event full of laughter!
Friday 21 June:
Ocean Colour Scene will be headlining Friday and they will be joined by Cast, Embrace, The View, Republica, The Sway, and Keyside.
Saturday 22 June:
Ben Hemsley will be headlining Saturday with support from Billy Gillies and Ammara and very special guest BLK.
Sunday 23 June:
Deacon Blue will be headlining Sunday with support from Lottery Winners, Rianne Downey, The Cheap Thrills, Delights and East Exchange.

How do I get there?
Go to www.merseyrail.org to check train times â the nearest station is James Street station which is just a short walk away from Pier Head, for Wirral line services. Stop at Moorfields for Northern line services.
Arriva Bus has got services that take you near to the Pier Head. Liverpool ONE Bus Station is a 5 minute walk from On The Waterfront, and Liverpool Queen Bus Station, a 10-12 minute walk. Go to www.arrivabus.co.uk for services and times.
Where can I park?
Thereâs no parking around the Pier Head during the event, but there are a number of car parks nearby including Q-Park in Liverpool ONE, NCP in Rumford Street and Fazakerley Street, Corn Exchange Car Park in Moor Street and JustPark, Water Street.
Are there any tickets still left?
YES! There are still tickets remaining for all shows they range from ÂŁ39.20 – ÂŁ56.45 across the weekend.
Can I bring food and drink to the event?
No food, drinks or alcohol can be brought into the event, apart from a 500ml bottle of water which must be sealed. Food and drinks can be purchased from the bars and concessions inside the event, and you can bring in an empty refillable water bottle (no glass) and refill at the free water point on site.
