Wirral activity centre, Happy Times receives over £220k from The National Lottery

Happy Times, the Wirral-based activity centre that provides bespoke activities for adults with additional needs, will be able to continue providing community support following a successful grant from The National Lottery.

The grant of £226,195 over three years will allow them to provide their bespoke activities at their Moreton Activity Centre and in their outreach and online channel.

The wonderful creative team at Happy Times support adults with Autism and a range of disabilities and complex needs.

Together with the input from family members and their teams we design and deliver tailored activities creating connections, fun and smiles and their activities are proven to improve confidence and communication in addition to mental and physical health and overall wellbeing.

The aim of the Social Enterprise in Moreton is to encourage people to get out more into the community, and they will be providing an exciting and varied timetable of activities and events for everyone to enjoy.

This is an exciting year too for them, as they mark their 10thBirthday which will be celebrated with everyone at the centre with an outdoor pop-up panto!

Helen Oliver, founder Director of Happy Times Activities, said:

“I feel over the moon to have secured continued funding from the Lottery.  It means that we can welcome people back and provide them with the reassurance and stability they need now more than ever after such an uncertain year.

Michelle Fisher, Quality Manager and Leader Support, at Happy Times Activities said:

“The past year has really been difficult for our participants, our team kept in touch with them throughout and provided distant support, but now we are excited to be looking forward, welcoming our groups back and continuing to make a difference.”
