Wirral’s Cosmic Cape Music Festival is turning up the excitement this summer by giving away a free ticket every time England scores a goal at EURO 2024.

This thrilling initiative celebrates the Lightning Seeds’ headline slot at Cosmic Cape Music Festival, the band famously behind the iconic England anthem “Three Lions.”

Should England triumph in the tournament, Cosmic Cape will host the Lightning Seeds in their first festival appearance post-victory, ensuring an unforgettable celebration.

EURO 2024 kicks off on June 19th, with England positioned as the favorite to win the tournament. Fans across the country will be rallying behind the national team, singing the Lightning Seeds’ “Three Lions,” which has been the unofficial anthem of English football since 1996.

Every time England scores and the opposing team kicks off, Cosmic Cape will upload a one-time-use free ticket code to their Instagram Story (@cosmiccapefestival). Followers will need to race to the website and be the first to redeem the free ticket, adding an extra layer of excitement to the matches.

The football fever at Cosmic Cape extends beyond just the ticket giveaways. The Kids Field will feature two football pitches and numerous football activities, ensuring young fans can join in the fun. Additionally, a special celebration is planned if England wins the tournament, making the festival’s atmosphere even more electrifying.

Cosmic Cape Music Festival in Capenhurst, Wirral, features a diverse lineup, from iconic acts like the Lightning Seeds to emerging artists like CVC and everything in between. Many of the north-west’s top food vendors will be present, offering a culinary delight for attendees. There is also a field dedicated to family activities, ensuring there’s something for everyone.

For those who prefer not to be glued to the football, Cosmic Cape tickets are available for just £30, with discounted family tickets also on offer.

Ian Broudie, Lightning Seeds, said:

“We’ve heard great things about Cosmic Cape, so we are all really excited to play the festival. It’s going to be a day to celebrate local music and community, and who knows, maybe we’ll be celebrating a European Championship too!’

Luke Done, Cosmic Cape Festival Co-Owner, said:

“The idea of giving away tickets is always scary as a festival organiser but given Lightning Seeds are headlining this just felt too fun not to do! I’m sure I’ll get over it fast enough if we’re listening to Three Lions on the 20th of July and England have just won the EUROs.”
