Wyld Sauna has announced expansion plans at Liverpool Waters
7 hours ago

Wyld Sauna in Princes Dock Liverpool has announced new developments that respond directly to the needs and desires of its growing community.
Wyld Sauna, the UK’s first public floating sauna and one of Liverpool’s most unique wellness destinations, has today revealed plans to expand and enhance its offering at Liverpool Waters this summer.
Since opening in November 2024 at Princes Dock in Liverpool Waters, Wyld has welcomed thousands of guests seeking to experience the benefits of hot and cold therapy in a stunning dockside setting. Now, with community feedback at its heart, Wyld is preparing to take things to the next level.
Plans include the launch of a new, custom-designed 16-person floating sauna — offering more space, more flexibility, and more opportunities for guests to enjoy Wyld in their own way. The new sauna will be available for private hire, group bookings, corporate sessions, and retreat-style experiences.
But it won’t stop there. While private bookings are a key part of the expansion, Wyld is also using this new space to grow its community offering.
Dedicated women-only and men-only sessions will be introduced alongside tailored times for Liverpool’s wider communities — including faith-based groups, LGBTQ+ guests, and those aged 50 and over.

New formats such as silent or whisper-only sessions for mindfulness, community-led socials, and guided rituals including breathwork, sound baths, and aromatherapy-infused ceremonies will also feature in the weekly schedule.
These sessions are designed to make Wyld an even more welcoming space for all — reflecting the diversity and vibrancy of the city while fostering deeper connection, rest, and wellbeing.
Additional upgrades include:
- Private changing cubicles on the quayside for added privacy and comfort
- New showers for guests to rinse off with their own products — ideal for pre-work or post-night-out sessions
- Permanent toilets and improved dockside infrastructure
- A new quayside café and outdoor seating area, providing a calm space to relax, chat and take in the energy of the waterfront
Rooted in community and shaped by those who use it, Wyld will also be launching a Spring/Summer Wellness Programme — bringing movement and mindfulness to the water’s edge in the heart of Liverpool. Led by local instructors and facilitators, the schedule will include sunrise yoga and pilates, breathwork, cold-water exposure sessions, and evening wind-downs featuring sound baths and meditation. Wyld is proud to platform Liverpool’s vibrant wellness community and offer a unique stage for healing, connection and calm.

Wyld will also continue its partnership with Swim Liverpool, supporting the city’s well-established community of open water swimmers. Swim Liverpool members will benefit from exclusive discounts and special offers, making it even easier to combine a refreshing swim with a revitalising sauna. As part of this collaboration, Wyld is enhancing swim access with a new gradual-entry ramp into the dock, along with upgraded facilities including new changing rooms, hot showers, and toilets.
Other improvements being made to enhance the overall guest experience include:
- Upgraded sauna heaters for more consistent and powerful heat delivery
- Reduced general capacity to prioritise comfort and space
- Dedicated quiet sessions in the mornings and evenings for those seeking peace and presence
- Women-only mornings and evenings held by Wyld’s female lifeguards in a safe, supportive
environment
As Wyld continues to grow, its ambition is clear — to make Liverpool the sauna capital of the UK. With nominations now open for the Sauna Summit Awards 2025, Wyld is calling on the people of Liverpool to help turn that dream into reality. You can vote here.
Jon Miller, Co-Founder of Wyld Sauna, said:
“The last six months have been an incredible start for Wyld, and we’ve been listening closely to our community every step of the way. Guests asked for more space, more privacy, better facilities and more varied sessions — and that’s exactly what we’re delivering.
Everything we’re doing is rooted in the belief that nature, heat, cold, and connection should be accessible to all. We’re proud of what we’ve built so far, and these next steps allow us to keep growing with our community — creating something truly unique on the Liverpool waterfront.”

To bring this vision to life, Wyld Sauna has continued its close partnership with waterside regeneration specialists Peel Waters, master planners of the emerging Liverpool Waters district. Recent investment by Peel has included a new high-quality decking area surrounding the sauna, improving access and enhancing the look and feel of the space for sauna guests and open water swimmers alike.
Liza Marco, Senior Asset Manager of Liverpool Waters, added:
“Liverpool Waters is about balancing the best of city life with the tranquillity of waterside wellbeing — and Wyld Sauna has been a perfect addition. It’s fantastic to see how much the community has embraced it and how it continues to evolve in such an inclusive and thoughtful way. This expansion reflects Wyld’s high-quality offer but also the power of collaboration, a shared vision and the popularity of Liverpool Waters as a location.”
