YNWA special guests to celebrate 125 years of history at Liverpool’s Royal Court

Liverpool’s Royal Court are delighted to welcome some big names from the past, present and future of LFC to a special performance of YNWA on Monday 23 October.
Ex players such as Robbie Fowler, Gary McAllister, Ron Yeats, Ian Callaghan, Tommy Smith and Ian Rush will be in attendance along with representatives from the Liverpool Ladies team and staff from the club. The legends all get a mention in the show and the rest of the audience will be watching to see how they react!
Tickets for the general public will be on sale in all areas so you can join some of the most loved players in the history of the club while they watch this five star show.
Having wowed audiences in Liverpool, Dublin and Belfast in 2014 and 2015 the show is being updated to include some great Jurgen Klopp moments and is a must see for all reds.
YNWA – The Story Of Liverpool Football Club tells the story of one of the World’s most famous football clubs and has been written by one of its biggest fans. It uses the songs from the terraces supported with video footage of all of the great LFC moments.
Liverpool Football Club have thrown their weight behind the show and have officially endorsed the play.
The show stars Mark Moraghan (Brookside, Holby City), Jake Abraham(Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels) and Lindzi Germain (Reds And Blues, The Royal).
Writer Nicky Allt has previously had massive success with the stage play One Night In Istanbul and LFC related books such as The Boys From The Mersey as well as being co-writer of Liverpool’s most seen play of the last ten years – Brick Up The Mersey Tunnels. He has followed LFC all over Europe for the last 40 years.
After an original run in 2011, the show came back to Liverpool’s Royal Court in 2014 when it attracted rave reviews from critics and audiences alike. The Liverpool Echo gave the show 10/10, calling it “Perfect”. Following that run, the show went on to play in Dublin, Belfast and The Liverpool Echo Arena.
The show tells stories of the glories on the fields of Anfield Road from Elisha Scott, Albert Stubbins and Billy Liddell to Kenny Dalglish, John Barnes and Steven Gerrard. With complete access to the LFC archive and the full backing of Liverpool Football Club, Nicky Allt has brought together every major incident in the club’s 125 year history and created a show that will make you laugh, cry and cheer out loud.
The confirmed cast includes: Mark Moraghan, Jake Abraham, Lindzi Germain, Lenny Wood, Jamie Hampson and Daniel Ross.
