Wirral
You can help shape the future of Wirral’s road network
3 months ago
Wirral Council is currently consulting on a long-term plan to establish a joined-up network of roads across the borough that are designed for people to travel safely to where they need to go – whether they choose to go by car, bike, scooter, public transport or on-foot.
Many of the routes identified are already the most direct ways to get from place to place, whether that be to work, school, to shopping areas, leisure facilities or other common destinations.
The consultation, which is running until September 23rd, gives residents the chance to comment on a specific route that is covered under the Core Active Travel Network plan or leave feedback on the plan as a whole.
It also asks what people think of the timescales specified for introducing each part of the network which range from short-term (within the next 3 years) to long-term (15+ years down the line).
Feedback from the consultation will be used to develop the plans further, identifying which ones will work best and which might need further thinking.
Plans and maps of the proposed routes are available to view on the Have Your Say site – or you can also attend one of the buildings listed below to check them out:-
