Merseyside Police has teamed up with Everton and Liverpool football clubs to launch a competition celebrating Merseyside as part of its Christmas campaign.
The force is running a photo competition to celebrate the county and is inviting people to send in photos of their favourite places or people in Merseyside to their Instagram page using #iheartMerseyside.
Two lucky people will be randomly chosen to each win a personalised video message – one from LFC and the other from EFC.
To be in with a chance of winning visit Merseyside Police’s Instagram page – @merseysidepolice and find the competition post.
The competition closes at 11:59pm on Thursday, December 17th with the winners being announced the following day.
Superintendent Steve Brizell, who is leading the force’s Christmas campaign Operation Shepherd, said:
“This year has been incredibly hard and we wanted to give people a boost as 2020 comes to a close.
“We are blessed in Merseyside with our diverse culture, incredible sporting teams, amazing people and fascinating places.
“This competition is a way to convey our appreciation for Merseyside and those who live, work and visit here and we are grateful to EFC and LFC for joining us in celebrating our county.”
