Sports bar Shooters has a smashing offer which means you won’t miss a shot – and you can enjoy pitchers of Pimms while you cheer on your favourite player, whether it’s reigning champion Andy Murray or comeback legends Federer and Nadal.
The bar, in the Bierkeller Entertainment Complex in Liverpool ONE, has the biggest non-cinema screen in the city so for fans wanting to follow every serve and volley, it’s the next best thing to actually being at SW19.
All the live action will be shown over Wimbledon fortnight, starting with the first round matches on Monday July 3 right through to the women’s and men’s finals on the weekend of July 15 & 16.
And to celebrate one of the highlights of the British summer sporting calendar, Shooters has the traditional Wimbledon drink – Pimms – available at £7.95 per pitcher during the tournament.
General manager Sean Maguire says they’re looking forward to welcoming fans for two weeks of world class tennis.
“Wimbledon is one of the biggest sporting events of the year and it really signals the start of summer for a lot of people,” he added. “There’s no better way to watch the games than with a Pimms – and hopefully plenty of sunshine, although the beauty of watching on our big screen is we’re never rained off!”
Isaac Mayne, head of marketing and promotions for Bierkeller Entertainment Complex, says Wimbledon is always a very popular event at Shooters.
“The tennis attracts a great crowd every year,” he said. “It’s always friendly and once it gets closer to the finals the excitement really builds, especially if a home player like Andy Murray is involved. We can’t quite manage our own Murray Mound but with the huge screen there’s no shortage of big match atmosphere.”
