Christmas
Your guide to Christmas in Ainsdale
Mention Ainsdale and you might think of a summer trip to the beach but Christmas is a brilliant time to visit this village just down the coast from Southport.
Enjoy a bracing walk on the beach, warm up with brunch or a festive hot chocolate, or enjoy a special seasonal lunch or dinner.
Here are eight ways to enjoy Christmas in Ainsdale.
Tuck into a festive special bagel
Remedy Ainsdale has got all the festive food you need to get you in the mood for the season.
We love the idea of the Festive Bagel, complete with turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and pigs in blankets. Or you can enjoy a bowl of pigs in blankets. And don’t forget the roasties, cooked to perfection.
If you aren’t in the mood to indulge quite that much, there are gorgeous breakfast bowls, get healthy with a spirulina smoothie or just grab a warming coffee.
There is also a book swap at this cute café, so take along an old book, grab a new one and settle in for a relaxing read.
You will find Remedy Ainsdale at 28 Station Road.
See the website for the full menu.
Test yourself with a Christmas Quiz
There are two great Christmas quizzes taking place in the village this month.
On 11 December you can support the Friends of Ainsdale Village Park at a Christmas Quiz fund raiser at The Mallard in Station Road, from 8pm.
A hot pot supper, with a veggie option available, is included. Tickets cost £10 from The Mallard.
Then, on 13 December enjoy Christmas music, a festive themed quiz and seasonal drinks at Morrells, at 569 Liverpool Road.
There will also be a prize for the best Christmas jumper.
The Christmas quiz starts at 7pm. Morrells is at 569 Liverpool Road.

Santa will also be there to meet the children.
The Festive Craft and Gift Fayre will take place at Sacred Heart, 483 Liverpool Road, on 14 December from 10.30am to 2.00pm.
A day of festive fun at the Golden Monkey
Head along to the Golden Monkey on 21 December for a brilliant day of festive fun.
This friendly, cosy bar is a stone’s throw from the train station so easy to reach.
From 4pm onwards there will be live music, close up magic, a fancy-dress contest (optional but encouraged) with the chance to win a £50 bar tab.
There will also be complimentary festive snacks.

Enjoy a festive Tipple
Tipple certainly boats some of the most beautiful Christmas decorations in the village and the festive menu won’t disappoint either.
With a seasonal brunch featuring twists on the classics, like the Christmas bagel, turkey benedict or Christmas hash and not to mention cocktails like the Snowflake, this is a great venue for your celebrations.
The evening menu small plates also have a festive flavour, featuring turkey loaded fries and festive pizza.
