Zeus Taverna brings a taste of Greece to Castle Street

Castle Street is welcoming a brand-new addition to its foodie scene this week, as Zeus Taverna opens its doors on Thursday, 3rd April, bringing the flavours of Santorini straight to the city centre! 

Stepping into Zeus Taverna feels like arriving on a Greek island. With textured whitewashed walls, turquoise accents, hand-painted murals of gods and goddesses, and trailing floral decorations, the whole place oozes authentic Mediterranean charm. There’s even a luminated cave feature to mirror Santorini’s famous grotto-like architecture.

And let’s talk about the food, expect a mouth-watering menu of Greek tapas and small plates, including souvlaki, moussaka, kleftiko, tzatziki, and dolmades. Plus, seafood lovers are in for a treat, with fresh octopus, prawns, mussels, and speciality salads making their way onto the menu. 

A spokesperson for Zeus Taverna said:

“The refurbishment was both enjoyable and challenging. We put so much effort into ensuring every part of the restuarant captures the spirit of Greece. The textured walls reflect the architecture of Santorini, the blue quartz tables and bar represent the sea, and our floral decor complements the traditional features. Alongside our traditional Greek favourites, we’ve carefully selected 15 brand-new dishes to bring something fresh to the Liverpool food scene.”
