Zodiac lounge has re-opened after major makeover

Zodiac Lounge, tucked away above Seel Street, has reopened following an extensive refurb that’s transformed the already buzzing venue into an even more stylish spot to eat, drink, relax and watch the match.

Known for its Turkish charcoal grill menu and shisha, the rooftop lounge now features six large TV screens to show all the big games and major sporting events.

There’s also brand new fixed red and green leather seating on the terrace, upgraded lighting, and a stunning floral ceiling installation that gives the main room a fresh, standout look.

The venue, which sits at the top of 13-21 Seel Street in the heart of Ropewalks, has kept its cosy winter-friendly setup with heaters and a covered roof, plus a retractable roof on the sun terrace for warmer evenings. There are also designated shisha areas that meet official smoking guidelines.

And yes, it’s still as Instagram-friendly as ever. New wall art, feature lighting and selfie spots have been added near the lift and main entrance so you can get your shots before you even sit down.

Food-wise, the menu has had a refresh too, sticking with its Turkish roots and serving up dishes like hummus, chicken kebabs, lamb kofta wraps, and desserts including baklava and banoffee sundaes — all available late into the night.

Owner Yunus Emre Uğur said: “We felt it was time to give the venue a proper refresh and add a few new touches that our regulars have been asking for. With the new football season kicking off, we’ve made sure the screens are in place so you won’t miss a moment. And we’re still running our popular two cocktails for £9 offer.”

He added: “We’ve also expanded our range of shisha flavours, and we’re the only lounge in the city offering alcohol-based options like rum, whisky and vodka blends.”

As part of the relaunch, Zodiac Lounge is introducing a brand-new weekly Friday night. From Friday 8 August, ‘Bootylicious’ will take over every Friday night with DJ Tony Dynamite spinning Afrobeats, RnB and more from 9pm — and there’s free entry.

Opening hours:

Sunday to Thursday: 4pm – 1.30am
Friday to Saturday: 3pm – 2.30am
