10 bonfire and fireworks displays in and around Merseyside that’ll make your Bonfire Night sparkle

If you want to see the sky lit up with loads of fireworks you’re in luck, because there are tons of fabulous bonfires and fireworks displays to make sure November 5 goes with a bang this year.
So check out this little lot we know about so far and remember – always – stay safe!
Fireworks Spectacular at Gulliver’s Theme Park Resort Warrington

You can enjoy extra ride time with extended opening hours (10:30am until 6:30pm) alongside all the usual attractions and entertainment at the Warrington Theme Park on Saturday, November 1, and the fireworks will be taking place at around 6.15pm.

Day of the Dead Festival at Adventure Coast Southport

There are three days of light, music and magic at Adventure Coast inspired by Mexico’s Día de los Muertos. You’re promised dazzling performances with stilt walkers and fire performers, the Batala drummers bringing spooky carnival beats, stage shows and a spectacular firework finale. Catch it on Saturdays, November 1 & 8, and Friday, November 7. Gates opening at 4.30pm, show and rides from 5pm and fireworks to close the night.

Totally Wicked Stadium St Helens – From The Ground Comes Light!

It’s the fourth year the stadium has hosted the event which boasts live entertainment from local artists including dancers, musicians and a DJ along with children’s entertainment, face painting, inflatables and other activities before an incredible laser light and pyrotechnics display. It’s on Wednesday, November 5 and tickets are on sale now with event start times to come.

Southport Rugby Club

Southport Rugby Club’s annual Fireworks Extravaganza’s taking place on Friday, October 31, hosted by Mighty Radio with Trevor Ford broadcasting across the region. The festival village features bouncy castles and kids’ rides, a giant slide, hook a duck and face painting. There’ll be food and drink, including a BBQ and pizzas. It’s always best to book but there will be a limited number of tickets on the gate which opens at 6pm with fireworks at around 8pm.

Liverpool College

Liverpool College’s PTA Fireworks Bonanza will be held on Friday, November 7, with food stalls, a bar, games, a bouncy castle, a face painter, a raffle, and an ‘amazing’ tombola, and they add: “Our night will end in a spectacular way, with a professional firework display!” Doors are set to open at 5pm with no entry after 7pm, and the fireworks will be around 7.30pm.

Prescot and Odyssey Cricket Club

This annual firework event takes place on Saturday, November 1 and as well as a firework display there’ll be funfair rides, kids’ stalls, music, and food & drink. Gates open at 5:30pm with the fireworks display approximately 7-7:30pm.

Hightown Cricket Club Annual Fireworks and Bonfire 2025

There’ll be fire dancing performances, hot food stalls including a sizzling BBQ, and family activities before the traditional bonfire lighting at 7.15pm and a breathtaking fireworks display at 7.30pm at the club in Thirlmere Road. It’s on November 5 – Wednesday – and gates open at 6.30pm for the fire dancing.

Moreton Bonfire & Fireworks Night

Moreton Hills Golf Centre’s got an evening of great entertainment with funfair rides including a funhouse and merry-go-round, and axe throwing by Timber Jacks. It’s on Saturday, November 1 with doors opening at 4pm, the bonfire lighting between 6-7pm, and a professional firework display at 8pm.

Ormskirk Cricket Club Bonfire and Fireworks Night

There are no more details yet but we do know that Ormskirk Cricket Club’s Bonfire and Fireworks Night will take place again this year on Saturday, November 8. Previous years have included food and drink and entertainment as well, of course, as a fab firework display. Keep an eye on their Facebook page for more details nearer the time.

The Corner House Family and Community Hub CIC – Birkenhead

Corner House is hosting a Bonfire Night Bonanza at Birkenhead Rugby Club in Park Road North on Sunday, November 2. There’ll be a light and laser show, followed by some low-noise fireworks, leading up to ‘our big bangers at the end’. It’s a ticket-only event between 6.30-8.30pm.
